So I finally was ushered through the traditional "White Coat ceremony" ... and at Bally's Las Vegas of all places (...the showgirls scheduled for the ceremony had a mishap with their tailfeathers in the escalators, so they couldn't make the occassion). Sadly, all the hoopla and fanciness lasted for only a few hours (since our anatomy exam was in 8 days...ahh!), so we all sat reviewing the venous anastomoses and arterial structures while heartfelt speeches were delivered. It was a nice time though; the ceremony is very symbolic and we said our Osteopathic oath as a class. The funny thing is that the coats they presented to us are shrimpy!!! We're not quite doctors yet so we get the short white coats made with the last yards of fabric... not even enough material to cover my med-school-nurtured ba-donk-a-donk!
