  • Taking on a new job

Well, after leading VBS this summer, I decided to also step up and fill the position for Adventure Club (younger youth) leader at church. The lady who had done both decided to step down and just work with Starters (teens).  It will be a new adventure, and I'm really looking foward to seeing what God has in store for us :)

  • God is Good :)

God is always good, just simply amazes me how thing can change. God is opening doors with my writing.  Frank's going to be able to have a table at an upcoming Celtic Festival sponsered by the owners of a Christian book store in a town near where I grew up.  He's going to be selling some of his smaller chain mail (armor) creations and hopefully get a few orders for larger pieces.  The store owner is interested in stocking some of his things on a regular basis!

The kids are growing by leaps and bounds.  Joshua finally defeated our "Jericho" (the half-wall Frank built to keep him in the living room).  So, now I have to put the gate at the kitchen and close all the doors upstairs to keep him out of as much trouble as possible lol.

I'm still amazed at all the blessings we've seen lately.  It's so easy to take things for granted.  We had another missionary family visit our church today.  They are working in the Bronx, NY (the last couple who visited were working with Gypsies in Romania).  When you hear what people go through just to get by day to day, and the hopelessness of those who don't know Jesus, really makes you stop and be thankful for everything you have, even when you don't think it's "enough".

Pray for missionaries all over the world, and pray to see how God can use you, even if it's just talking to your next door neighbor.

  • Long time no Blog

Well, I've neglected my blog, but I've been busy.  I've been doing a lot more writing and have had some sucess selling a couple content articles. I've also started doing some freelance editing and am in the process of building my freelance writing and a design business making buttons, banners and websites.

I also placed 2nd in the FaithWriters Writng Challenge in the Intermediate level and 3rd in Editor's Choice, which lets my story appear in the upcoming anthology, "Inspiration at Your Fingertips".  After screaming and jumping around the living room (making my kids wonder what was wrong with Mommy), I called my hubby and my Mom :) God's really moving things along.
