Christmas break just never seems long enough; however, it has been nice to get back to a little more of a routine and spend time with friends. It is hard to believe that in a few weeks I will be student teaching and then in a few months I will be graduating.
Even though Christmas was a very enjoyable time, it didn't come without its trials and tribulations. Travis' grandfather died right before Christmas which made things a little more difficult; however, we all made it through after a few tears were shed.
Travis' birthday was celebrated by sending his brother to the doctor after hurting his shoulder during a practice play of touch football in the backyard in the snow, rain, and freezing rain. We also had a wonderful birthday meal and watched Travis unwrap his Nebraska hat, sweater, ESPN Scene It DVD game, and the best of all was his FOUNTAIN from his parents. After all that fun we went bowling in which I beat the five boys and started our Shelbyville bar crawl. Each bar definitely had its own atmosphere from classy bar and grill to smoky white trash. Thankfully there aren't a lot of bars in Shelbyville.

Christmas break also allowed me to spend some time with my family and see my adorable cousins. I was also able to almost finish my afgan that I have been working on for 3 Christmas'. I also was able to ride back to school with a great friend Kristin Liefer, who I have not been able to catch up with since Sophmore year. It was great to hear about her life and to share my life with her.
Now we are back to school and back to our routines, trying to think about the future while still occupying ourselves with the present.
