Training Commences

Its been awhile since my last 5 Boro Bike Tour but I'm pretty siked!. This time with a whole new set of guys  fbbt-route-map and  hopefully a new bike seat. My current one is a pain in the @ss! It will be 42 miles. Starting from the southern tip  of manhattan, traveling north into the bronx, then queens (otherwise known as my hood), then  brooklyn and ending in Staten Island at the Verrazano bridge. Here's the route ------------------------------------------------------->>>>

I had to give up a concert that fell on the same day but as luck has it, I was able to sell my tickets for a slight gain! Which is nice, helping me offset my registration fees for the bike tour. Wish me luck as this will be the first of three more events coming up: Merrill Lynch Bull Run and the JP Morgan Corp Challenge. ok, each are 3 miles but hey it's a start.

Upcoming concerts in NYC:

Keane @ Summerstage Central Park

The Fray @ Jones Beach

Fallen heros

As I anxiously await my shield and uniform, I hear of two NYPD Auxiliary officers who were shot in Greenwich Village. They were chasin a suspect who had just committed a murder and while fleeing away turned around and took fire at the two officers. They died shortly after. One officer was still a student at NYU. until last night, there hasn't been a auxiliary officer dying on duty in 14 years. two volunteers, two true tragedies in my book.

NYPD Auxiliary Officer

NYPDauxPatch2

I did it! After 16 weeks of class training, self defense classes and one exam...YOU are looking at the newest NYPD Auxiliary Officer of Central Park. I didn't tell too many folks because frankly I didnt think anyone would understand. The few who do know ask why I decided to join. Well, its been a small legacy with my family. A few of my older family members had been an Auxilary officer and I think its great to help keep Central Park a lil safer for everyone. I will be patroling the park one night a week being NYPD's eyes and ears. Thats right I will be watching your every move! Lastly, I want to thank the true NYPD officers who risk their lives everday for us! AND thanks in advance when I call for a 10-85! (officer backup).

Jack's Mannequin Concert - February 28, 2007

jackmann
Last minute, I decided to catch the Jacks Mannequin concert at the Hammerstein. I really thought I'd  just show up at the door and buy a ticket but the show was actually sold out. The bouncer asked for my ticket and I told him i didnt have one. " Ya need a ticket", he said. "Then sell me one!", i said. i ended up slippin him a "Jackson" ($20) and he walks me in past all the ticket collectors. The best part was that he took me straight to the main floor. So was really able to see this band and watch the moshers go at it. Although it was a lil weird going stag and kickin it with some college folks that night but the band sounded pretty good. suprisely much better live. I credit the drummer Tommy Lee, originally from Motle Crue. Opening act was Head Automatica and The Audition. dont know em.

HelloGOodbYe

They all said that I would never do it and they were right... TILL NOW! Here is my xanga page.

The one prob that i had with writing to xanga wasnt the lack of time or that i would have nuthin to say but i always thought if you want to get to know the real me, people should really ....pay me!..no I'm kidding.. but just ask. Well here it is.. my first real post ....hello world!

I'll start off backtracking a lil bit...

2006

living the dream dwn in florida. but then decided home is where i need to be. Off to NYC! tough decision leaving the semi family dwn in o-town, shaq, akon, tiger, golf in general. I took AMtrak with my car and landed back in nyc in 36 hours. NOrmal time...16 hours. No wonder the train was full of old people, theyre in no rush!

since getting back. took 3 brillant months off! unbelieveable time! helped out my boy teebonez by volunteering for a great NPO higher heights which is a great basketball camp for young xian children. helped my good buddy DT pick up his fancy ride in tx and drove a mini cross country road trip back to ny. its amazing how much attention a super sports car gets from women. i wish i have curves like that. yea , i would smack that 2....

Finally, decided it was time to go back to work. After interviews with several companies, found my current job who interviewed me once and offered my the job on the spot. worked out a sweet package and well, im back in the grind. Just in time i guess, i need a paycheck! Then New Years came and went so.....

2007 !

I must say most people start the new year with a bang! I as always, have the embarrassing stories. Dig it, going to work in my nice suit. I take the LIRR. The trains have nice seats with these rubber arm rests. I have my ipod on full blast and when I went to sit down I suddenly felt a burst of cold air rushing up my leg. I RIPPED MY PANTS!!! oh why was i wearing my candy striped boxers that day! my pants pocket got caught on the armrest and well, you know. I know it happens, BUT TWICE IN ONE WEEK! oh i should post a pic. I later found out on the news that there were 405 others that did the same. I feel slightly better

Concerts:

FALL OUT BOYS at the hammerstein. my friend annomothug keep callin them SPRING OUT BOYS. i dont blame her, she's a lil F.O.B herself. hehe. They were good and i had a music enthusaist share the experience with me. it was a good time. Have you ever heard of a circle mosh pit? well anyway, they played all but one of my favorite song. but sang a new song off their upcoming album Infinity on High called This Aint a Scene its an Arms Race! I did feel alil out of place with the younger crowd at the concert.

Currently listening too:

The Great Burrito Extortion Case        I Wish We All Could Win      Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!

Fall Out Boy        Bowling for Soup      The Afters           Hello Good Bye

Upcoming Concert:

THe Killers @ msg 4/28

The Bamboozle Fest @ Giants Stadium  5/6

CONAN O' BRIEN - I waited for months calling NBC almost every week to get tickets. Finally, a good buddy @ nbc gave me a nice hook up. I got 4 tickets and my boy teebonez picked up another 4.   I think Conan is great but i was definitely even more impressed how he can still work the crowd before the show..  i hope my friends got a kick out of him too.
