  •   I just got back from my last spring break as a college student and it was great!  My roommates (Claire and Megan) and I went on a cruise!  This being my first cruise I really had nothing to compare it with, but it was awesome.  Ocean=great, sun=wonderful, warm weather=bliss, and new adventures=fun, fun, fun.  We left on Friday after I got out of my class and drove to Ft. Lauderdale (18hours!).  We Went straight to the beach and played in the ocean all day.  I got a bit fried, but it was fun.  We slept in the car that night in the parking lot of a hotel and the next morning we left to get on the cruise ship (The Carnival Liberty).  Our first stop was in the bahamas where we went to Paradise Island and played in the gigantic waves.  Our next port was Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.  This was my favorite because it was absolutely gorgeous.  The water was so blue and as you swam out in the ocean you could see down pretty far.  Next time i'll have to bring some snorkeling gear.  Our last stop was in Ocho Rios, Jamaica where we took a catamaran (called Cool Runnings) over to Dunns River Falls.  We were able to climb the falls, which was pretty neat.  The day was so nice it was like 86 and sunny!  I haven't put the pictures on my computer yet, but when i get them on there, I'll post some.  But now i'm back in cold, rainy Indiana and I have a midterm on Thursday.  So i better get on studying for that.  God Bless!

  • Have you ever been so tired that you were sure anytime you blinked you would just pass out from pure exhaustion?  Well that is how I feel right now and that is how i will continue to feel until 8:00am Friday morning.  Lets see...Friday night I babysat from 4:30pm-2:00am.  Sunday I babysat from 12:00pm-1:30am and didn't get to sleep until around 3am.  I had class on Monday mornning and it has all been downhill from there.  I had to be up at 5:30am both Tuesday and Wednesday for clinical.  And all of my free time has been going into studying for one of three tests coming up.  One is tomorrow, one monday, and the last on tuesday.  To top it all off, I will be up all night studying for my test tomorrow and then i have two classes after that and then i have to work a 12 hour night shift!  I feel as if i will never actually sleep again.  You may be wondering, well why aren't you studying now?  Well that is because i am waiting for some notes to print out.  This is no fun, i just wish so bad that t his school year would just fly by.  I'm so ready to be done.  Please pray that i am able to keep my sanity because i feel like i am going to breakdown any day now.  Maybe Friday afternoon once i get some rest things will be better.

In other news, I have to go home this weekend on Fridayt because my mom is going to take River (our dog) who is a bit of a menace right now and causing a ruckus here at the apartment.  We contemplated giving him away but that was too sad, so my mom volunteered to take him and get him trained so he stops eating my notes (literally...that is why i am printing more).  So i am so relieved and thankful that another solution came about.  Alright, my notes are done printing.  Thanks for reading.  God Bless.

  •  So I went to the Concert in the Circle tonight for the season opening of the NFL.  It was aweosme!  Hinder, Kelly Clarkson, and Faith Hill performed and they were amazing!  THere were tons of people there and we started kind of in the back, but we made our way foreward to the steps and it was great!

  • I haven't updated in a long time so i decided now would be a good time.  School has started again (yes my 5th year) and it is no joy ride.  The elective i took as my "blow off" class actually requires more work than other of my other classes so that did not work out as i planned.  but oh well.  Anyways, My roommate, Claire, and I went White Water Rafting this weekend on the Wolf river in Wisconsin.  We had a great time, we tried to take some good pictures so if they turned out all right i'll post some later.  She almost fell out on the last waterfall but i reached over and saved her life.  (She will say i pushed her, but she would be wrong).  So The weather was beautiful and we camped that night.  So anyways, I have to go back to LaPorte next weekend once again but for good news.  My brother and his wife are getting baptized!  It's amazing, seriously I must admit that i truthfully never thought the day would come when my brother would accept Christ into his life and become a christian, but once again i would be be wrong and reminded that God has plans bigger than our own and he works in his own ways.  So that is my exciting update for today.  I must now force myself to go and read an insane amount of textbook chapters without falling asleep.  Wish me luck!  God Bless!
