Thermostat Cat also sez, "You stupid cow, you shouldn't wait 2 years before changing your AC filter, especially when you have three cats.  Because you know what happens?  The AC breaks, and you have to pay $5,000 for a new one."

The house is slowly falling apart - have I mentioned that?

Last weekend, Mom and StepDad came to visit, to see Freddy's show, and bring up the extra toilet they had from their own home repairs, since our second bathroom has been out of commission for a very long time.  Our kitchen also needed a new garbage disposal and a new faucet, and, as the saying goes, we threw in a new kitchen sink too.  Guess who installed all that stuff?  Handy-Dandy Super-Mechanically-Talented StepDad, who has handyman powers beyond normal human abilities.  Oh, and while he was at it, he diagnosed the problem with the flourescents in the kitchen (we have had not light in the kitchen for over a year, because the light fixture was wonky) and installed a new light fixture.

Of course, the AC waited until he left before blowing itself out.

TWO WEEKS AFTER THE 5-YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRED.

I kid you not.

Indy has allergies

I mean, of course.  What else did you expect, from that cat?

It started with slightly comical sneezing fits.  Loud sneezes, followed by his little paw frantically scratching his little nose (as in scratching an itch, not as in cat-scratch-fever scratching). 

Yesterday, he was sitting under the coffee table when he sneezed.  He bumped his head on the coffee table from the force of the sneeze.  (Don't ask me how me nanaged to his head on the table above him when sneezing usually makes your head move downward, but he did it.  After all, this is Indy we're talking about...)

Today, his eyes are watering.  It almost makes me feel bad to still think it's funny.

Do they make kitty Claritin?  Can I sneak some Benadryl into his food?

How about baby Benadryl?  (He weighs as much as many toddlers, so he should be able to take it... right?)

I must apologize...

In the previous post, I really thought the cat had his hooman's finger in his mouth - quite akin to little Donovan.  But I realized, suddenly, after looking at it a bazillion times, that the cat is actually eating some sort of processed meat-like product.
