The Bible says, “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Corinthians 9:6). The Lord surprised us. You hear a lot of strange things about tithing. Some say it is a church tax, and they expect me to pay it and that is the end of it. Others say that when I give God one-tenth of my income, He blesses the nine-tenths that is left to the extent that the nine-tenths now goes as far as the whole thing used to go. This isn’t really true, is it? Suppose a farmer had 100 bushels of corn in the barn and he decides to plant 10 bushel in the ground. What multiplies? Is it the 90 bushels that he has left in the barn? Oh, no. All of us “farmers” know it is the 10 bushels you put in the ground that multiplies. Similarly, it is the 10 percent you give to God that multiplies.

Malachi 3:8-10 says, “Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, “How do we rob you?” In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. ” I have met a lot of Christians who have curses upon them because they are robbing God. But He goes on to say, “ ‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’ ” Upon whom will God pour out so much blessing, the church? No. Upon you, the giver.

(From one of Stanley's testimonies...) One day I got enough courage to talk it over with her (his wife). I said, “Honey, God is talking to me about a covenant I made with Him. I feel that God would have us to make Him our Senior Partner, but if we do, this means at least 51 percent of the profits would go into the Lord’s work.” As we talked it over, I asked her what she thought. She looked at me and she said, “Stanley, whatever God tells you to do, obey God.” I think this is the best advice I ever received. They say the road to success is filled with women pushing their husbands along. Men, you ought to appreciate your (Godly) wives. They have something we men don’t have. They have intuition, and if you will listen to your wives, they will save you from a lot of problems in your lives.

I went to an attorney and said, “Sir, I have come today to make God my Senior Partner. I would like to have you make out a legal paper that says we are turning 51 percent of our business over to God.” He looked at me and said ...

Our business began to grow, and then we were landlocked. We couldn’t buy property to expand our building, so we had to start over again. We went out on Interstate 75 (of Lima, OH) and bought 33 acres on a beautiful curve where we could put “Christ Is the Answer” on the end of our factory. I had this policy never to borrow money, and I had $600,000 cash in the bank to start the new buildings. We began to build our buildings, and we paid the contractor every 30 days progressively. When we were finished, we had spent over $3 million in building these buildings. Amazingly, I still had the $600,000 cash in the bank. That is a true story. When you drive down Interstate 75 and see these buildings, you can point at them and say, that is what God has done.

Stanley Tam is a businessman in Lima, Ohio. He delivered this testimony at the annual Generous Giving Conference, Orlando, Fla., February 19-21, 2004.

Eric & Patty called us a few days ago to tell us the good news. We were very pleased to hear about their baby on the way. Patty's already named the baby 'Eric Jr.' because of her constant urge to eat. Eric said that he's had to make a special trip for guacamole. Other than that they've only adjusted their grocery list a little bit.

On a personal note...

There are many websites that are attempting to attack this issue. Most of us probably know by now that the rich get richer mostly because they know how to legally divert paying taxes to their governments. I've read some things that just sicken me. It's upsetting to see how people do and don't spend their money. I really get bunched up inside when I read how big companies, like Microsoft (and other banks and businesses) didn't pay ANY taxes last year. The other end of the spectrum is just as bad, as the rich can afford to pay high prices, so the prices stay to high, and the not-so-rich can't afford it. Why? Because the rich are buying it. Why is someone else's spending so upsetting? This is as simple as our food prices, medicines, toys, etc.

Ok, now don't beat me up to much for saying this, BUT, in the old days, the majority of the people had reverence for such things. Even the rich thought twice about paying for overly priced items. Especially when someone had a little talk with them and expanded a picture about the future of outrageous pricing.

You may think this is alright since it's legal and you're jealous because you would want to 'put it to the gov' as well. But, let me remind you of some things...

We, the people ...
are part of the government !

We're all part of the monopoly that should have these monies equally divided. The USA could have had a free national health plan in effect this decade - had all taxes been collected -- had all the US businesses supported our government and people with the taxes from their good fortune.

Support America
Buy American
Spoiled Again!

Instead, we have families working 2-4 jobs, and homeless people, and schools ceasing to support Driver's Education... and more!

Thievery is legal.
US laws need amended.

My thoughts are having a hard time getting past this.
I've realized that even our own government is a business.

It seems like only the naive are paying taxes.

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,

and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,

both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back

or by pressing lightly in one direction or another.

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.

The dance takes surrender, willingness,

and attentiveness from one person

and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".

"God, "u" and "i" dance."

God, you and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust

that I would get guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings

and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.

May you abide in God as God abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead

and to guide you through each season of your life.

If God has done anything for you in your life,

please share this message with someone else,

for prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive.

There is no cost but a lots of rewards;

so let's continue to pray for one another.

Hi Everybody!

I hope all is well with you and yours. I've been busy working, and I really miss spending time on here. Clif and I are email support at pbwiki.com - that's a wiki website for users to collaborate on. Wiki means fast. So this type of website is easy to setup and for many people to edit. There's thousands of users now, and hundreds of teachers and even more students. You can make and maintain a FREE or premium wiki-website if you want to check it out. It's really neat... that's where we've been spending most of our free time for the past year. TIP: All the educational wikis are ad-free!

Clif's son, Eric joined the U.S. Marine's, and he's currently in Iraq for his second tour. Before he left this time, he married a bright, cute, darling girl, named Patty. So, now we have a daughter-in-law in California. She's coming for a visit next week, so I've got some more things to do, and we're planning to go camping with the kids up to the dunes in Michigan. I'm not sure where that is yet. Crystal and Jim's been there a few times and they love it.

Today is my birthday (it's after midnight ) and right before Clif gets into bed, he tells me that he has a card and gift for me... then he hops into bed! What?! Well, of course I'm all over him about this, and just tease him until his big ol' smile starts to fade. It would probably take hours to find it anyway... so here I am.

I spent some time up at my Dad's helping out. I stayed a few days and drove my niece and nephew to work and back while 'the folks' went to visit some smaller grandkids in NYC. Man, when they got back I apologized for being a teenager... but then I retracted and just apologized for acting like I did when I was a teen. it wasn't pretty back then... and I'm really analyzing it again lately. I don't like to think about the bad things in my past unless I can learn from it... and spending a few days with someone else's 'ripe' teens can open ones eyes! It's sorta funny though, because not everyone acts the same way when other people are around. Which reminds me. I told Trace that we'd take her boys camping soon. She's probably ready for a (teen) break... lol We really haven't had any trouble with their boys, and we've stayed with them or they've stayed with us a few days here and there. Most of our 28 nieces and nephews have never given us any serious trouble.

Our family has been growing. We've added two grand-nephews this last year. Xavier will be a year old in July, and Hunter is a few months behind him. X is in California. Which I drove Jessica and X out to the military base back in February, so she would be with her hubby that she hadn't seen since the week of their wedding, last Christmas. Our trip took 5 days because of having to drive farther south to avoid the ice and snow storms that sprang up during our travel. We got into San Diego late Friday night, and I stayed a few days to help her setup house. The following Weds., Clif flew in and came to pick me up, for Eric and Patty's Wedding that Saturday, Feb., 10th, 2007. Reminder: Grand-babies will be coming along soon!

When we attempted to fly back to Columbus, Ohio we were delayed a day from a major ice storm. We were rerouted to Phoenix, AZ, for a night and met Tom of TeMerc Internet Countermeasures the next morning. We just couldn't pass up a chance to finally meet this terrific guy after talking to him online for so long. Tom runs a long time forum for computer help. If anyone has computer issues that may be infestation related, that's the place to visit. We landed at 10:30pm and when we finally retrieved our departed luggage and got to our ice covered car it took at least 15 minutes of chipping the ice off of the windows before we could leave. My plastic coffee mug lasted maybe 5 minutes before the bitter cold (and my tapping) made the bottom of the cup shatter. Clif used the ice scraper. Just before my mug busted he had told me to get into the car and warm up... LOL! (Why don't we listen to these simple things?!) Normally, Columbus is 80-90 minutes from home. The roads weren't completely cleared off so we got home about 2am. Clif got up at 7 and went to work! Me? I slept until noon. I wouldn't trade my water bed for anything! *big-grins*

Well, I guess I caught you up a little bit, but I just saw the time and so I should really go jump into bed.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem

9 David was afraid of the LORD that day and said, "How can the ark of the LORD ever come to me?" 10 He was not willing to take the ark of the LORD to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 11 The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.

12 Now King David was told, "The LORD has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God." So David went down and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. 13 When those who were carrying the ark of the LORD had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. 14 David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, 15 while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.

16 As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart.

17 They brought the ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings ^[f] before the LORD. 18 After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty. 19 Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. 20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, "How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!"

21 David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD's people Israel—I will celebrate before the LORD. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor."

23 And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

Happy New Year everyone! This is Clif_Notes' wife, Becky. I thought I'd share our story (this is the long version) to bring you new hope for the new year. With the holiday cheer lingering in the background, I've found more time. The guy I babysit for has been knocked into night shift and his girlfriend gets there within 2 hrs after he leaves unless she works over. I'm glad it's only 10 blocks away and his shift change is temporary - maybe until March. I'm hoping he gets a computer and internet soon so I can hook up my laptop while I'm there. He's talking about it. I see his eyes light up when I bring my laptop with me. The kids really enjoy playing games when their homework is done. Well, they're asleep when I get there, for now.

We also have the pleasure of party planning. Clif's folks are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Oh, the glory! Then his Dad will be 70 in May, and my Dad will be 70 next year. Oh, the planning... it's already been fun!
It's been over a decade ago when we started out as newbies. We installed many programs - then spend hours or days trying to straighten things out. We were frustrated for about the first 3-4 years, trying to find someone to help us fix software issues. Clif's first computer was an old 8086 with only green text on the screen (that was pre-windows) and we upgraded to a 14.4 dial-up modem! Our second computer was a NEC 9670/Win95/200MHz/2g HD/16mb RAM/added 32mb = 48mb RAM. It was a gem at multitasking. I would run pIRCh, Yahoo, MSN and 12-20 internet explorer windows at minimum. This $1,200 system we had got on a 10 month payment plan of $120/mo with no interest. The whole system came with a printer. I forget where we found it online, but I know they don't offer payment plans anymore... bummer!

We didn't get ANY support from NEC whatsoever - so we vowed to NEVER buy anything from them again. NEC never answered ANY of our email, and NEC was NOT helpful with telephone support - there wasn't any NEC technical support at that time! We had to rely on our ISP (Internet Service Provider) and searched BBS's (Bulletin Board System's were the chatrooms long before Windows) on the internet. After our year warranty expired, we opened up our PC only to find loose RAM chips. Argh... the agony of all those lost and poor internet connections! The agony of all those hours of troubleshooting, writing NEC, and leaving messages on BBS's. All because I RAM chip popped up out of it's socket sometime while moving the computer!

HP was great about helping us with our Pavilion XG833/WinME/800MHz/20gHD/128mb/added 256 = 384mb! HP sent us a box to return it when the modem seemed to be bad. 3 days later we had a new PC to hook up, and it still works great. That's Clif's baby. I see him cringe slightly when he knows I've been using it. I have to control myself from tweaking others computers... ~ must... control myself ~ bwahahahaha! LOL... maybe that can be compared to setting other people's radio stations buttons in their cars. Which reminds me how I set all the Christian radio stations on the new cars I drive. Then I pray over the car while I'm driving to it's destination. I'm not exactly sure of the count, but I think I've blessed about 200 cars all over the USA.

Getting back to computer things. Oh, how I prayed for deliverance from the horrible computer problems we had endured! I can see now that it was God's plan that we learned all of those things, so we could show others that there really are good people around. We always help people for free... and we've enjoy all the payback's *grin* like the free dinners and car fixes too. We've got offers for free vacations where people want us to visit them (and we want to visit abroad some safe day) and people giving or selling to us; old computer parts, a book shelf, clothes, appliances and tools, which we appreciate and useful things and yummy dinners from Tracy I've treasured because we're really like sisters. My brother, Jeff has blessed us repeatedly with furniture or repairs we've needed. We've been so much more blessed from people since we've given free computer support. We've had more fun meeting people from Ohio, Indiana, the USA, and all over the world. Between the freebies or free items I get in the mail from websites I visit, or freebies via my long time dear friend Julie our mailbox seems like Christmas sometimes!

I'm so thankful for MCI's calling plan in their Neighborhood package! All of my family is long distance, so I love being able to call anywhere/anytime in the USA, and amazingly I've never went over the 5000 minutes per month! (MCI's plan is less than $50/month on our phone bill! Total bill is $77/month, and I'm also collecting airmiles on this plan!) [AT&T's unadvertised special for $29.99 also let's you call anywhere/anytime in the USA, but doesn't have any perks, like caller-id, 3-way calling, etc., like the MCI deal has.] My sister-law has worked for a couple of phone companies, and she told me that almost every phone company has unadvertised specials... check that out in your area. Just ask for a plan where you can call anywhere/anytime in the US, and see what they tell you.

We remember how it was to be newbies, and now that we know a lot more about computing (installing programs and how to fix things) it's way more enjoyable. Finally, we don't re-install our OS's every few weeks or months. (over 20 months now, until a suspected power supply went out on the XP PC) It's been almost 3 weeks and we haven't messed with it much. I guess our $200 old Dell Latitude a400xt laptop (currently running Win2003 and it lags at multitasking) has been sufficient enough, but I still miss all my programs and the things I can't get to on the 2 year old Dell Dimension 2350 - needs a power supply. So... if anyone out there knows where to find a really good one cheap, please let us know. I'm also shopping for Dell Latitude a400xt parts: fan, I need something much larger than a 6g HD, 256 RAM max (128+128) and maybe a DVD drive. I ordered our wireless stuff from CompUSA.com which has ZyXEL ZyAir wireless products on sale for $19.99 each! I really wanted Belkin's because of their lifetime warranty, but ZyAir was half the price with a 2 year warranty - and no rebates. Just cheap and fast. I pray it works good for the money. I feel blessed to just to have found that deal. Praise God for all good things... and the bad. There is always a reason for everything... even if it takes a lifetime to find the connection!

We read software reviews before we even download (most of the time) and we avoid unknown websites unless we use a protected (or stripped down) browser, like OffByOne, which is FREE and very small (No JavaScript support (so no pop-up ad windows). No applet, plug-in or Flash support) Makes this browser nearly 99% safe to surf with. I price shop the same way... I check prices and reviews before I buy.

After we learned alot of more than we wanted to (I'm not really sure how else to phrase it... lol) we started teaching newbies in chatrooms. It was usually fun and easy teaching basic computer things to people. It was amazing to find out how many people didn't know their Temp Files were overflowing and bogging their systems down. They were pleased to learn what all to clean out to help their systems run faster again, and we were happy to help. Now we use instant messengers or forums. We prefer forums instead of one-on-one chat since everyone can reap the benefits of information. However, since we have a good long distance plan, we don't mind calling people when their systems are down. I remember having to use a library computer 2-3 times, and we've borrowed a friend's PC at least a few times, until we bought another PC and got our network together.

This week we'll have a wireless network, and I hope soon to have a wireless laptop. I'm really jealous of my brother, Pat (Nitrotruck) chatting with me and playing yahoo euchre while he's watching tv in his recliner! hehe But, I'm really looking forward to watching DVD's or TV when we're camping this summer. Lugging around a 13-inch TV just isn't as appealing as watching TV in the back of the van, without the bugs, and less noise from barking dogs and the neighboring crying kids at bedtime. Well, we have a few months before it's camping season. Now, I'm trying to help my sister, Shelly, furnish her new apartment with bedroom furniture. She's got everything else. I think her patio table makes a nice dining room table. I'm glad that my sister, Debbie, has everything she needs, but she lost alot of cherished things in her last move. I think there's going to be some court battles. If she can find a lawyer to handle this mess. My sister, Chelle, just moved to NY with her 3 girls. She's a teacher. She must be really good at it too. She never has a hard time finding a job. I have 2 more sisters, Laurie and April. I don't hear much from them. I guess they're really busy with kids and life. I hope to see them soon. I really miss them.

Ok, back to computers. I'm partial to what I've read about Toshiba Satellite's, but I'm not real thrilled with the specs. I don't really want a 5400 rpm HD when I've seen the 7200's listed in other laptops. Maybe it's just the name and looks of the unit. I know that I probably haven't found the 'right one' yet because it isn't time. God really has been keeping me in check when it comes to window shopping. That's hard to do when the internet has so many windows! It's easy when your pocket isn't holding much. I really need to pay attention when I save a little. I have to think about what's important at the time: repairs... or something new... hmmm... then, what?! Pray, of course!!!

We really have fun downloading and trying free software. (We're starting to get some of the shareware free too, since we review free software so much.) Computers don't start out very fun, like we expect, but it's good when you can finally relax and enjoy it. We realize it takes time for newbies to find the safe sites, and I hope we get our lists of our Favorites/Bookmarks up on a webpage. It takes time weeding out the closed and changed sites, in between software reviews. I would like to see everyone publish their Favorite websites, so they can be checked for reliability.

Hi Everybody, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still around. I've picked up a fulltime babysitting job with 4 children, and I'm still delivery driving parttime.

God is good. The family I babysit for believe a little differently. I'll write more about that when I have time, but at least I can say that it's been interesting for all involved.
