June update

Hello, hello. It's a shame, I used to write so much on here! But not to worry, I write all the good stuff on Facebook (as notes..."articles"...thoughts). I guess this blog is only for me to update monthly, on the state of affairs. Well...I came back to day from California, it was a pretty nice week-long vacation and much deserved. And then coming back to Houston you feel...yeah. Anyways, I'll probably write like a travel log on Facebook, so stay tuned. Not to worry, it'll be on MySpace too. Jeez, managing three blogging/networking sites!? It's not that bad. But I should really condense. But then again, I have different friends on different sites. I just created a Friendster account in case...any of my relatives are curious. Hah. You know how it is. But things are all right. Till next time.

May update

I'm seriously considering putting this Xanga to rest, but I just can't. Not yet. I don't know why. I guess part of it is because I don't feel like updating the look on MySpace, as I do like this green background better than the blue. But then again, there's no harm in NOT deleting it, regardless if people see this or not. I'll just blame it on laziness.
Anyways, for those who still keeps tabs on this, or if I'm merely writing to myself, let's continue. May. May! This semester was relatively quick, but I am ready to wrap it up. Honestly, I didn't put enough effort as I should have save this English class, but that is the past now. Plus I'm not a "grades" type of person anyway.
Thing is though, I had a decent time at HCC. Two years of maturing, seeking, exploring. It's time to move on though. I feel like I need to get caught up when I get to UNT, which by the way, I attended Orientation recently and am ready to start signing up for classes. So from this point forward, I have feelings of excitement and anxiety, but more of the former. I'm eager to experience this university life.
You know, I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately. Maybe because I am a night hawk and me trying to sleep any time before midnight is nearly impossible. Not a good sign considering I'll be going into teaching haha...my habits must change eventually. I don't loathe waking up early though. Sleep is good, but waking up too late in the day isn't good anyways. Hmm.
I look forward to the summer, but not the summer weather. I can't wait to visit California. I will not miss the dreaded summer weather. Enjoying the good days while it lasts.
Well, goodbye college, hello university. Time to start to do some major preparations.

Till the next,

~ Jerry

April update

Ahh yes, that's right. Time for a monthly update. Nothing new really, except that that this school semester is about to end. However, exams are piling up, and that's a pain. Maybe that's why I've been quite busy. Just been trying to finish assignments and all that. And also finishing up more games. Hah.
Plans for the summer...summer school, a week in California (first time too) and then preparing for the move to Denton. That's all really. It's been uneventful but if there must be anything new since the last update it's that I've finished some these poems of mine that I started last year. I had a few pages in a notebook of unfinished thoughts and I took the time and effort to complete them. They're on Facebook. In fact all my so-called "thoughts" are on Facebook...I wonder why I still feel the need to update this Xanga? At least on MySpace I still get a comment or message like once a month lol. Hmm.
Spirit Sense & Wanderlust posted in Facebook. Quite proud and I'm working on more. Well, till the next.

~ Jerry

P.S. The weather down here is wonderful. Too bad it won't last. That's why I'm excited to visit Cali. And study in Denton.

March update

Spring break is here. Honestly, I find it too early for a break, but most of my classmates have been waiting for it. I didn't even know it was this week until recently. I still have a lot of energy to do work! I wish it was later on. And why FBISD schools have it the week after us college folks is unusual. I can't hang with my brother because of it. Jeez.
But hey, I have a week off right? And what's happened since the last post? Nothing much. Bullet-form:

- I'm sure any NBA fan knows by now how great the Houston Rockets are doing. As of today they are riding an 18-game winning streak. Very impressive. Fans are delighted, I'm delighted. The Rockets have always been known to be a good, friendly organization, so they deserve the respect and praise. So they're on their way for another special season, although it's still disappointing that Yao Ming won't play until next season.

- Project Runway Season 4 ended. I already wrote so much on it on Facebook, but I was disappointed Rami or Jillian didn't win. I just feel the judges were biased AND Victoria Beckham had something to do with Christian like that. Ugh...well moving on, Top Chef 4: Chicago starts this Wednesday. My favorite reality TV competition!

- My laptop had broke down two weeks ago, stressed out about it but took quick action. Now it's back in my arms, safe and sound. Thanks ASUS for great service!

- Expecting to upgrade to a 160 GB iPod. Currently 95 GB of music. 160 won't last long, but damn I need more space NOW. Discovering great music all the time is a real pleasure of mine.

- Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 made me happy these past 3 weeks. Spent nearly 100 hours on that game and had a blast. What an enjoyable RPG. The ending almost makes you want to tear up. That moment when you finish this game is, for non-gamers, like watching the credits after a touching film or closing the sides of a heart-warming novel. Yeah...

- I'm surprised Hillary Clinton won the TX primary! Seriously, I did not expect that. I'm surprised because so many classmates and people my age are all for Barack Obama. Even going to a Rockets game a couple weeks ago, people booed when they showed Hillary Clinton on-screen. Yet, somehow she DOES have supporters here, but I never see or hear of them. Strange huh? Where are the Clinton supporters near me hiding? And so there are only 3 candidates left (let's just scratch Mike Gravel out, although he's still technically "in"). It's a long time till November...

- I need to finish these poems of mine. I started them last spring/summer, but never finished them. Need to refine a few things and they should be good to go. I'm feeling good about these...much better than the sappy and almost-naive writing I did as a middle-schooler hehe.

Well, there you have it. Till next time folks,

~ Jerry

February update

Hmm...February. Usually it's this time of the year where things start picking up during the semester. And it's true, I've been relatively busy, but not to the point where I have no social life. I always manage to find time to spend with buddies and my siblings. That's always important.
Weather is acting schitzophrenic again...there's cool days, PERFECT days like this weekend, and unusually hot summer-like weather. And that makes me just want to move outta here.
School & work are going well, so there's not much to say. I STILL don't have cable TV at the moment, which is STILL a bummer but I'm STILL living without it. As long as I have the Internet, life isn't so meaningless, hah. Haven't had time to catch up on games, which sucks but hey, I know that I need to do schoolwork first. But damn am I excited for Smash Bros. Brawl...it's been getting perfect scores in Japan. It looks to be a classic.
Anyways, yeah, nothing new here. Still focusing on getting new music (and how great they sound) and also been wanting to write more. You'll see a lot of writing on Facebook, that's for sure.

Till the next,

~ Jerry
