What happened from here to July? Well uhhh
I'm a college student officially. Woo.
I'm at Syracuse University.
The weather here sucks.
I have B's in probably all my classes
I feel weird not being smart.
But there's still some stupid people in my classes and stuff....
so. Maybe I'm average. (OR ABOVE AVERAGE. Hence the B's.)
I'm in a play right now for non-acting majors
I have the lead role. I'm really talented ;D
Not really, no... ok, maybe.
I don't have the ego to know if I do or not.
Jehosh and I are still a couple
but he's too busy for me
so it might not last much longer....
but. HOPEFULLY. it will. I like him a lot.
he makes me feel happy when I talk to him
as infrequent as that is =(

| Hmmm... I guess it's a good time to update. Not that anyone actually looks at Xangas anymore, let alone read them. Last time I updated I was still going on about what colleges I got into and which ones I had to hear from. Well, I got into all the schools I applied to, except for UCLA. This means I got into NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for film/television/radio/animation. (Yes, they just started including animation in that long title, though most people still leave it out.) Unfortunately, NYU does not believe in giving money to students, so I am not attending that school. I cried over it enough, but whatever. Say hello to a member of Syracuse University's class of 2011!
Anyways. Right now I'm on my new MacBook Pro, affectionately named Thadeus. I'm also listening to music through my wonderful new iPod nano, who I suggest you all call Horatio. Yeah, I'm awesome with the names.
I'm leaving for New York in about a month. This is because Syracuse University is located in Syracuse, New York. This is in upstate New York, so please don't ask me to bring back many souvineeres from the Big Apple. I'm not even sure if I'll make the 5 hour train ride to NYC at my stay at 'cuse, though I'm hoping that I will.
Apart from school, I'm still working at the library, which I will leave on August 10 so I can prepare for college. I'm happy to leave, even though I will miss making what pennies I get for shelving books and being annoyed by little kids who haven't learned English yet.
I'm also dating a wonderful guy named Josh, who is very sweet and caring and an all-around amazing person. Though this whole "moving 700 miles away from home" thing will put a lot of strain on this relationship, I'm still hoping that it somehow works out and that we'll find a way to be happy together despite the distance. Hey, I still can make phone calls!
So I'm relaxing and enjoying summer right now, and I decided to blog beceause I keep forgetting that Xanga exists, and eventually I feel bad for the site. I probably won't write again for another xmany months, so don't expect to hear more from me. I do write occasional notes on Facebook, though, so if we're friends on there go check those out.

I got into Syracuse University today. So far I have been accepted to: Northern Illinois University, Illinois State University, and Syracuse University. I still need to hear back from UCLA, New York University, and Emerson College. I need to see how much money SU gives me, but it still looks like I'm going to ISU as of now. | Remember when Xanga was cool and I updated all the time? Yeah, those were the days. So right now I am sick, and I have been for about a week now. I have to work tomorrow and I am not happy about that because I don't like working. I am in the spring play, which is a weird production, and I have practice tomorrow with that too. I'm not quite looking forward to that. I won a really nice art award thing for my school, but I am mad because it's too late to tell colleges about it. I am being entered in an art show soon. I think it'd be cool if I won. I took first place in Regionals for speech, and I failed in Sectionals. I took third place at districts and I'm an alternate for Nationals. I should be gonig to Nationals, but because I have minor bad luck in almost everything, I'm not going. The people who beat me found a loophole in a rule about double entries/duos and such for qualifying for Nationals, so me and this guy Patrick who do dramatic interps were screwed out of going. I am very glad I beat Patrick, though. He went to state and I didn't. He beat me at every round in Sectionals, and I beat him in every round at districts. It took me until the last tournament in the history of my speech career to get good, and I still didn't make it to Nationals. I hate that. I find out about colleges this month/April 1. I don't think I'll get into any of them, except maybe Emerson College, and that's only if I get lucky. As I mentioned before, I'm not very lucky. I want to be in college now. I have been looking foward to this huge life change so much that every day seems to just drag and drag. I also want to meet a nice guy. I want more excitement in my life too. Mandy is very good for providing me with new experiences and thrills. I should hang out with her more often. I need more friends. Or ... I need to go out of my way to hang out with people. I hate making plans, though. I always feel that nobody wants to do anything with me unless they're the ones calling me. I'm ranting and I probably sound relatively depressed right now. | It's 2007, so I guess I should update. On the Threadless forum I saw a girl talking about her behavior psychology class. Her semester final wasn't a written test. Instead, she had to create 300 life-long goals for herself. Now, 300 is a lot. I think making a list of 50 is hard. This assignment, however, appealed to me a lot, and I think I'm going to do it too. I'll compromise with my awe at the number 300 and aim for 150 goals. If I finish my list of 150 goals I'll try for 300. So this is my New Year's resolution: 1. Create a list of 150 life-long goals for myself. Now, I shall follow up the resolution list with the usual. 2. Get a boyfriend. (this failed in 2006)
3. Go to college (I have been accepted to one already, and so this will most certainly be accomplished.)
4. Exercise more (a.k.a. tone my abs, because I don't want to loose weight. I want nice abs.)
5. Write a story (a good one that everyone likes.)
6. Make a film (it can be a minute long, just as long as I make one.)
7. Be happy (sometimes this can be so hard.)
8. Manage my money better (perhaps going shopping every week isn't such a good idea.)
9. Learn to love my job OR get a new one (because I should be happy in whatever I do.)
10. Make new friends (I feel lonely too often.) I challenged myself to make 10, and I think I did so successfully. Have a great new year, guys. I have a feeling that 2007 will be a good one =) -- Rini | | |
