I even went through a heightened phase of P.P.S, and P.P.P.S--- for all your after-thought needs.

This had completely left my memory, until it dropped neatly into one of the empty brain slots around 4:23 this afternoon.

Tuesday, January 24, 2006

I was sad today. Inexplicably sad, and then it was explained.

While recently crumbling my granola bar into a bowl, I was illuminated by the revelation that Focus on the Family is attempting to wipe out every vestige of women's rights. Verily, their ultimate goal is to reverse the chain of events back to the point when the weaker sex wiped up the slop from the mead halls' wooden tables, while the menfolk speared the wild boars and raided the northern villages.

I uncovered this scheme through my famed razor sharp cunning, the logic of which is as follows:

I listened to the Adventures in Odyssey, produced by the nefarious Focus on the Family, when I was a kid. For those of you not familiar with said series of radio drama, the very noble Jason and Tasha of the low, sultry voice have a brief, torrid relationship which is sadly extinguished after 3 episodes. The reason for its premature demise? Tasha (who so happens to be a savvy CIA agent) wants a condo close to her cubicle, and, hence, chooses her job over her man. Bye-bye Jason.

Most definitely, Focus on the Family's obvious underlying message is that the woman's place is in the home. If Tasha had been by a stove, instead of off galivanting about with the CIA, she and Jason would be married today with 4 children and one on the way.

I believe that the reasoning I have laid out here is strong and absolutely infallible.

(Oh, and humble apologies for the ridiculous amount of time in between my posts....)

Saturday, December 10, 2005

I always pass this black curvy car in the MacMillan parking lot. It's got a sticker diagonally stuck on the top left corner of the rear window: SO * CAL.

But this morning, the glittery fuzz made the little willow branches all thick and cumbersome, and I desperately wanted my feather duster... and a vacuum for the grass. It had even sneaked a fuzzy layer of itself onto curvy black car's rear window. The "L" had peeled off and flopped over in a most undignified manner.

Not SO * BC I guess.

Friday, November 11, 2005

Rose's best slip of the tongue this week:
