Against All Odds, We Still Live

How do you live through tragedy, yet still come out as a winner?

How do you continue living when all seems to be against you?

Standing upon wobbling legs, you take a brave step out of hope.

Hoping, and wishing things will finally change for you and your loved ones.

We all live in an uncertain world.

Everything can change without a moment's notice.

From rags to riches, or riches to rags- it's all unknown.

Nothing is forever, everything's got a deadline.

After living through hell and back, you can still smile.

You no longer cry over trivial things, you now know what is truly important.

    Smiling towards a brighter future.

Sometimes laughing it off is the only way to get through it.

Maybe strength isn't counted in wealth, maybe it's counted in the morals a person holds dear to them.

Maybe it's about how you deal with yourself, rather than how you deal with the people around you.

As we live through life, we come to in counter a 24 hour job called: worrying.

Constantly thinking of the "what ifs" and the regrets made.

    Oh, how it haunts us.

Oh, how it makes us wish we can turn back the clock.

Cherish what you have now, who knows how long it will last.

Live life with your head held high, and be proud of who you are no matter what they say.

All sorts of things belong here.

Who knows, maybe tragedy can change a person for the better.

We take things for granted, and when it's gone, that is when we learn our lesson.

    Anime North 2008

LOL on May 24-25, I went to Anime North 2008. ^^ The local anime Con. It was my Second time going! And this year, it was soooo much better. XD I went for the whole weekend this year.

On Saturday, the line up for ppl who needed to buy a ticket, went around the whole buliding!! But since i had a preorded ticket, all i had to do was pretty much walk in! XD The main reason why this year was better is because there were a lot more cosplayers and the costumes were better. ^__^

6363 003 Two AWESOME cosplayers, being characters from D.N.Angle. ^^

6363 004 Another two AWESOME cosplayers. Chobits i believe. =P

6363 029 When my friends and I first say this guy from the back., we were all like "...that can't be a woman for sure...it's got to be a man" and sure enough it was a man...Freaky.

6363 037 A lot of my friends who've seen this pic, all said "I WANT THAT CUBE!"....What so great about it?! Its just a damn cube! XD

6363 046 The best Misa, and Ryuk i've seen in like FOREVER. ok well...i've seen better on the interent...but i mean LIVE! XD Whoo, Death Note!

6363 042 Hey Look, its the old guy from Dragon Ball Z. xD

    6363 057 Cool Axel right?

6363 067 I found a nice couple who were cosplaying as two characters from Vampire Knight. =)...they look nice

6363 069 And now for all the Naruto fans out there.....here's...Guitar Hero Kakashi. ;)

    6363 091  =D It's King Micky!

So there you have it. A weekend where i just acted as a complete idiot with my awasome pals =). And for those who do go to Cons, yes i did buy stuff. I mean who the hell can't? XD Oh yeah...anime Cons...can and are at times a strange place. I mean...ppl were giving out free hugs (kinda cool, yet kinda werid to be hugged by a stranger) but...i ended up hugging two ppl xD...just cause a friend and I dared each other to. (I don't like human contact xD...so it was a dare to me)

    Result of First Job interveiw.

Sadly, I didn't get the job. =( For what reason? I have no idea. All I got was a letter that basically said "thank you for doing the interveiw and having interest in our program, but we are not able to offer you a position at this time. We welcome you to sign up again for the next year"

I kind of already knew I wasn't gonna get the job, but it's still sad i guess. And right now, the letter sounds kind of bull shitty to me...but thats just probley cause i'm down about it. Anyway...at least, I can now just fool around during the summer and go over to Quebec. But still...I wanted to earn some sort of cash. =P

Tommorw is my first exam. The day after that is my french exam. And on the 19th is my science exam. I swear...my mark is gonna drop after that science exam. *sigh*...I feel like shit right now...the school hardly had AC. The west wing on the second floor was like a heart wave! The big gym was pretty much like an oven. Point is...i just want to get this school year over with.

As for marks, I think i'm doing pretty good. Getting an 85 in science, 85 in gym (damn those paper tests, they're gay! no offence to anyone) 89 in french ( its applied level, meaning it's easier =P I suck at oral thats why i took it), and for FS...um...i dunno yet. =P I'll just hope the exams won't kill any of my nice marks.

Now back to studying for exams. Thanks for reading how my life has been for the last three weeks or so. =P

Hope will Always be There... No Matter!

As the death toll rises, it's quite clear that time is running out.

No one knows how many are still missing.

Families hold their breath in hopes, that the heart of a love one still beats.

Temperatures are dropping, supplies are low; we must act quicker.

Others have sacrificed their own lives in order to save another.

Please help them, don't let their deathes be in vain.

Continue to pray, continue to help, continue to hope.

Under all the disaster, the heart of one continues beating.

Though it has been seven sunsets, their hope is still strong.

They can't see the sky, but they know it's still blue.

Under the cold blanket, they pray for the best.

Above, people are having a tough race with time.

Working as hard as they can, even through heart ache, they dig.

    Who knows what remains.

    But it doesn't matter.

A woman's cry is heard through the valley.

She cries in distress for her lost child.

The woman has come face to face, with a parent's worse enemy.

The child was captured underneath the cold blanket of disaster.

As the cold war against time pushes on, some are saved.

    Others...lost their battles.

Soldiers continue to save those who are buried.

The sky...seems as though it wishes to shed tears.

PS- Took me awhile to write this because...well the news was kinda blurry and I needed to sort my thoughts. But i mean if i could sell this poem, as so many ppl call my writing, i would. The money would most likely be donated to the ppl at Red Cross so the can help those in China and Burma..

    I haven't written in awhile cause...um i dunno...when things do work...they just don't. =)

    Very First Job Interview

Well today was the very first job interview I ever had. Though it was not the formal type of one...it felt just the same I think. The job I want to get is actually held by my school. The job is about helping new immigrant students to Canada get use to high school in another country.

Anyway, I was called down to an office for a group interview. In total there were six people including myself. I was the youngest one there. Everyone else was in grades 10-11. I felt some what small I guess.I was totally unprepared. I hardly had any idea what was going on! Well i knew what the question was when asked but really...i don't even know if my answers were strong or not. All I know is that, I answered differently from everyone else as I noticed. The other 5 people pretty much repeated each other...but xD thats just how i saw it. It felt so weird...i mean I got the email saying that i was gonna get an interview like the day before!...but really I didn't expect for it to be today!

Other than that...most of the interview is like a blur to me. I can't really remember what happened next. xD When i got back from my interview, my friends all asked how it went and I was like "...um..it was ok...".

I hope I get this job. I really want go get it...One, because i want working experience, and two cause I want to see what my parents went through, when they first came to Canada.=P and a small thing...cause it pays good. xD

Well school's be loading me up with hmwk...and tests..and I'm gonna have a mental break down soon...got a french presentation tmmr. *sigh* I've gotten my writing back on...so now it's a matter of time when i can get it on..and if i think its good. =D

xD oh yeah one more thing before i leave, GOING TO ANIME NORTH NEXT WEEKEND!! WHOOO...xD gonna have fun acting like an idiot for two whole days! Gonna take pics of cosplayers and gonna buy some stuff for me and my pals. =D can't wait for that! my best mate, who i've known since kindergarten, is gonna be cosplaying.

    GTG cya!
