While there are many who carry within themselves a deep hatred
for things ugly
and unseemly. There are a select few walking among us who view those
material things
that we take for granted, with envy and jealousy. While one person
may flaunt and
flounce in their finery. Others have naught but the bare skin on
there backs. I don't speak as one with experience but as one who has
seen such looks on the faces of many nameless individuals. These
people seem to have nothing left to live for, their appearance is
harsh. They tend to be thin, with leathery brown skin that appears to
have been out in the sun too much. Their eyes hold a wistful, almost
empty look as the one precious thing in their lives is slowly drained
from them. Their souls, how is it that such people can waste away
into humans without meaning and purpose? Did they start out like
this? We, as privileged individuals take things like an ordinary
jacket for granted, we tend not to appreciate the objects we already
have access to. Once such person is a boy by the name of Gary Soto.
While there are others who have nothing to call their own, he has a
roof over his head, two, sometimes three meals a day, and a jacket
that he is completely and utterly disgusted with. Gary complains
constantly that “it is the wrong color, the wrong size, the wrong
shape.” While he is thus engaged,his grades are slipping, his
social life is nonchallant, every little bad thing that happens to
him, happens because of the jacket. It is my opinion that Gary Soto
is a very selfish person, he takes things and twists it around to
become an excuse for his behavior. While some might have been happy
to have a jacket, even an ugly one. Gary chose to be unhappy about
it. My impression of Gary Soto is that he is very egotistical, his
story is a sad one because he could have taken something and made it
wonderful, instead he reaped anger and bitterness.

| Did You Know? THE TRUTH
I know that a lot of issues we have in our world right now involve whether abortion is right or wrong. Some people view abortion and its morality based on someones present circumstances. Did you know that over 75% of Americans say that abortion should be done based on the present conditions? Many would say "It is the woman's body, if she wants an abortion there is nothing wrong with her making that decision." Well, I don't know much from experience but I do know that the baby growing within the woman is a life and a soul. How do you know that? well, first of all can a woman have four hands? Can she have working male organs? Two noses? each function that comes with the development of the child proves that the baby is alive. How do you know it has a soul? Terry Shiavo what do we know about HER condition? Many people would say that she did not have any brain function, how do we know that? A machine told us. This machine says that Terry had very little if any brain functions. So what you're saying is that if there were brainwaves there would be a soul? Correct! Did you know that a baby has brain waves at six weeks? There have even been some speculation as to brain functioning at four weeks. [these machines are such a new technology we can't catch it!]
DID YOU KNOW? that whinever abortions are done on the unborn the child within the mother actually moves AWAY from any foreign object that is present in the womb? They can think! and they know exactly what abortion is doing!
My point is clear, this is not a tumour that needs to be destroyed nor is it a piece of tissue that people use to justify their crimes. It is a HUMAN!
I write this because I feel strongly about it, these girls don't even know what they are missing! They try to justify their actions by dehumanizing and demeaning the rights of the unborn. Everyday millions of children are killed at their parents convenience. WHY?

| Imagine if you will, it is beautiful outside. The trees are in full bloom an arrayment of green and brilliant colored blossoms fill the air with their sweet smell. There is a faint whiff of fresh cut grass, a bluebird lands gracefully onto a tree limb and surveys it's surroundings with care. Somewhere in the distance someone is singing, the mornings dew still clings to the red petals of my genarious plants. A pair of squirrels chase each other up and down a tree trunk, chattering all the while like a pair of friends. I watch it all with tired but bright eyes. The wonder and the beauty of the mornings are not at all dimmed by my drowsiness.

| Reasons why things have been crazy I try to stay very optimistic and I can only pray and hope that this bad feeling of defeat will go away soon.
My Piano teacher basically told me I am wasting my time. The Free Enterprsie speech competition is in a week and I'm still at the revising and editing part. I've got to prepare for the Guild. [which is a piano concert] I have to learn and memorize ten different songs in less than three months. During all of this I have to keep up with my homework assignments and make sure I get a 3.5 grade average. YIKES!
I have been learning though that I am truly blessed to be able to do all of these things. Also, that the support and love of my parents helps me do those things which I should have been doing all along.
I suppose it suffices to say you learn something new everyday.
