Yearly Entry

Wow....  I haven't used Xanga in almost a year!  It took me 5 minute just to figure out how to post a new blog entry.  I guess Xanga adopted the Facebook and MySpace homepage idea.  Well, here are some things that happened since my last post....

1. Graduated seminary and completed my time at FG St. Louis
2. Daniel's wedding
3. Came down to Houston, Texas and serving at FG Houston
4. New car, new phone, new laptop, new camera, new GPS!  I'm getting high-tech...
5. New guitar!  =)

I'm not sure when I'll post again, but until then, peace out Xanga!  You've always been faithful to me.  I'm not sure if I can say the same....  See you next year(?)!  =)

Last Entry?

Wow.....it's been 9 months since I last updated!  Lot has happened since my car accident:

1. Ben gave me his Prelude and I got pulled over 4 times for speeding since....
2. Took the YG to New York for summer retreat
3. Moved to St. Louis
4. Went to Chicago for a class in August
5. In one month, I went to Orlando, Springfield (doesn't really count), Portland, Las Vegas, and Dallas
6. 2006 Fall Revival at Hope was good
7. Was invited to Houston as a revival speaker this coming Thanksgiving

That's pretty much it.....  Memorable trips are going to Portland to see Nelz.  Dominated Halo and heard some creative combination of curse words.....  Las Vegas was surprisingly fun!  Ernie got married and he showed me some numbers for roulette that paid for my plane ticket!  Thank you Ernie!

I have two more classes and I graduate this May!  I'll be officially done with Masters!  Woo hoo~!!!  I guess Xanga's fading so this may be my last entry....  Oh....and Joel was kind enough to donate $50,000 to help pay for my bills!  Thank you Joel T.!

*note* Pictures to come......

P.S.  0, 00, 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32

This was not the update (with pictures) I had in mind:

I was going 55 mph on MO 100, my back end started to skid because of the wet road.  I think it was because I had on snow tires, but that doesn't matter now.  Because there were cars coming from both directions, I decided I'd rather take my chances in the ditch with the trees rather than get hit from the front and back, so I just jerked the wheel and braced myself by putting my arms over my head.  My car went in the ditch sideways and flipped (once I think), and hit a tree with my back end.  My front glass shattered (sort of) and my windows blew out in one piece because of the tint.

I was upside down with my head on the roof but luckily, my arms took most of the impact. I unlocked the seatbelt (which saved my life) and checked myself to see if I was ok.  Then I turned off the ignition so there wouldn't be any explosion of some sort.  My two doors wouldn't open so I was trapped.  Luckily, the people who saw me came down and I heard the man walking to my car say, "I hope he's not dead."  He yelled, "Hello?"  I answered and said I was fine.  He cleared the back window for me and I crawled out.  I came out of there with absolutely no harm.

I think it would be foolish for me to say it wasn't a miracle.  I'm so thankful that Ruth, Ann, or none of the youth group kids were in my car at the time.  The passenger side was completely damaged along with the back.  If you look inside the car, the driver's side is the only "intact" part!  Oh, and to make things worse, my laptop broke too!  Too bad it wasn't my phone...  Oh, and for those of you who worried, I did save my iPod!  My friends stated that it took a major car accident for me to update!    Anyways, thank you Lord for keeping me safe!

Special Thanx to:

Thanx to God and his grace.  Protecting me for 6 years (and counting)!
Thanx to my friends who prayed for me!
Thanx to Ryan D. who sacrificed his Spring Break to help me out (and taking the pictures)!
Thanx to those who made sure I was ok!
Thanx to those who came down and stayed until the emergency vehicles arrived!

Here are some interesting facts about my car:

Trask Mobile
( a.k.a "Old Faithful"):  1988 Honda Accord

Life Span: January 2001 - March 5th, 2006; 18,000 miles - 160,000

Max speed reached: 125 mph

Fit 9 people in there once

Youngest people to drive my car: Timmy, Rachel, and Ruthie (when they were 11).
