Hi Peoples! It's been FOREVER since I've posted here, with my own words. I kind of gave up on this xanga.. but it doesn't seem to go away. Today, I got bored so I decided to fix it up a little. I changed the color... if you haven't noticed. lol I hadded a little more SPICE! Maybe too much spice... Even I have to get used to all the pink.  Although no one reads my xanga, I'll still post about God's greatness...even if it's just to remind myself. Tonight at youth service, I really had a burden in my heart. I was just very sad. So I went up for prayer after the Lord had spoken to me through the message. After a few Godly people laid their hands on me and prayed, I felt all the weight just lift. The devil is after us in such a way; he just wants to see us destroyed and in despair. But the Lord will not let us be put to shame. We will make it through every hardship and every battle, B/c God is our stregnth. Amen. I hope that whoever sees this xanga will be inspired by these words of encouragement I have posted today and in the past. Leave me word and let me know what you think so far. It will greatly be appreciated. God bless you. Until next time..... -Sara

June 9

We worked hard all night and caught nothing.
Luke 5:5 NASB

Do you know the feeling of a sleepless, fishless night? Of course you do. For what have you been casting?...

Faith? "I want to believe, but..."

Healing? "I've been sick so long..."

A happy marriage? "No matter what I do..."

You've sat where Peter sat. And now Jesus is asking you to go fishing. He knows your nets are empty. He knows your heart is weary.... But he urges, "It's not too late to try again."

DAILY DEVOTIONS FROM MAX LUCADO

A Higher Standard - Daily Devotions www.maxlucado.com
grace for the momentMost of my life I’ve been a closet slob. Then I got married....

I enrolled in a twelve-step program for slobs. (“My name is Max, I hate to vacuum.”) A physical therapist helped me rediscover the muscles used for hanging shirts... . My nose was reintroduced to the fragrance of Pine Sol....

Then came the moment of truth. Denalyn went out of town for a week. Initially I reverted to the old man. I figured I’d be a slob for six days and clean on the seventh. But something strange happened, a curious discomfort. I couldn’t relax with dirty dishes in the sink.

What had happened to me? Simple. I’d been exposed to a higher standard.

Isn’t that what has happened with us?. . . Before Christ our lives were out of control, sloppy, and indulgent. We didn’t even know we were slobs until we met him. . . . Suddenly we find ourselves wanting to do good. Go back to the old mess? Are you kidding?

"I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize for which God called me."

Hey dudes and duddettes. God bless you all. I hope you guys are doing okay. Tonight in church, my pastor prepared a great activity for the children and the youth. I thought it would be fun to do this with other people. This is how it works. Answer the following questions...please.

1. If you could be anyone in the Bible who would it be?

2. Why?

3. What was this person known for?

4. What would you change about the person?

If I could choose any character in the Bible it would be David. The reason I like David is because he was kind of a "loner". He was a shepherd boy who kept to himself and was the youngest of his brothers. (I'm the baby of the fam. too. Cool, huh?) David was also rejected by his all of his older brothers. But God always has something special for those who are rejected and seperated from people. I really like this man's character because although he was by himself, he was very close to God. Usually people who are more introvert tend to write things on paper and this is exactly what David did. He was extremely poetic and wrote most of the Psalms. Read it and you'll see his closeness to God. Even while he reigned he seeked for God's guidance. David was sensitive to the spirit of God, which is something everyone should long for. He was very romantic. Ooo la la! lol David was a very passionate man who loved the things of God. That's one of the things I strive for most. To be near to God. Amen to that! One thing I would change was that mistake David made when he took another man's wife, and then killed her husband. This woman's name was Bathseba, if I'm not mistaken. Oh, and Another plus- Once David saw his mistake, he felt remorse and conviction and asked God for forgivness. I would like to be like David, but even more like Jesus.

Please post your answers, and in this way we can fellowship and understand each others personalities. Not only will others know, but you'll understand a little more about yourself too. I'll then try to paste your answers on the public page so people can enjoy the reading. It'll be fun. Try it! God bless.
