| What are things you have learned now that you wish you knew when you were younger?* Santa is not real.
* It doesn't matter what people think, just be who you are.
* Only hang with people who don't put you down.
* No matter what, do what you feel to be right.
* Sheep are not that fluffy.
* Mama wins.
* When you jump, you might get hurt. But thats part of the fun.
* If food looks bad, it most likely is bad....
* Sisters make the best friends.
* The easter bunny is not real.
* Belgium is awesome.
* Holland is awesome.
* Knowing how to read dutch signs is important.
* Raw fish is never good.
* Not to waste all your comp time on a xanga post....that has nothing to do with your trip...
I'll write again when we can get internet on the laptop. That's where all the pictures are! I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
| I *love* Belguim!Belguim is amazing! Right now I'm sitting by the window gazing upon corn fields and old brick farm houses. Right across the street from us are three beautiful cows. And the people are nice and very funny. Today we drove to the little town of Pepingen, and we took "this road because it's 'special' and it's on the way to the post office" (inside joke) It was wonderful. Wheat fields here, corn fields over there, cows grazing everywhere. I love it. Yesterday was Ruben's Bithday party so we got to met wonderful people, play around, and talk. It was great.
Here I am eating a marzipan pig (porcinet) in Metz, France! Heh heh!
We went to Gaasbeek, a castle, and on the way we passed a tractor show! How funny!
Me playing with one of Ruben's cousins at his party. He was pretty funny.
They said I threw a basketball like a girl, so we fixed that! (Me, Ruben, and Stijn) Risa, me, Stijn, and Ulrich. We found out Stijn had a facebook, so we *had* to get on and add him!
Cows!!! These tree cows are right across the street from us! Love it!
Me feeding the love-aly Belgium cows.
Here I am, staying away from the electrical fence, but getting as close as I can!
Well, now you know where I'll be!
| Wondering how to Get Smart.First of all, I would like to say that Get Smart could have been a wonderful movie. Instead it was a horrible movie. I was miserably disgusted and disappointed. The movie writers must have thought that rude, gross, vulgar humor was the best sort of humor out there. At the end it said, “Some material may not be suitable for children under 13.” I was thinking, “I’m almost 16, and I am appalled.” So, here’s what I have to say to all of you, don’t try to Get Smart. It’s a total waste of money and time. Sure there was some “clean” humor, but the smothering swamp of sick humor drowned it out. | | |
| Happy Almost 4th of July!Ahhh, I love summer. Bar-B-Q's, swimming, shorts, flip-flops, watermelons, s'mores, bon-fires, green grass, dogs, lying in the bed of a truck watching fireworks, birds singing, late nights with friends, working in the sun, looking at the stars on top of the roof, singing, hot toes, toads, funky shoes, cameras, ice-cream, blackberries, pies, chickens, yard-sales, naps, and best of all, not getting cold!
What do you think of when you hear the word Summer?
Thank you God for the brave men and women who are serving this country. Thank you that we have freedom. And we pray for wise government in the years to come, so that we will stay the land of the free.
