I've enjoyed Xanga but I do have my own webhost and domain so one thing I haven't enjoyed is being at the mercy of another host (xanga), so I'm going back to my own 'space' as of today.
I'll let you know if there's a new url for a new weblog.
And I'll keep this page here so that I can visit all of my xanga links.

| My attention has been drawn to the fact that I need to update my weblog. In a nice long telephone chat with CarryAnn this morning I was informed that I don't need to be organized so I confessed that my lack of updating was due less to my lack of organization than it was to my laziness (shame on me).
First, I have a link that you should visit if you like handmade cards. Each of these cards is like a little work of art, they are truly gorgeous and I know this personally because I have two of my own.

I also have some pictures that I took the other day but I may post those later, I really do need to take a shower soon. I'm taking my Mother to the DMV to get an id (her driver's license expired while she was in the hospital). I despise the DMV. I truly hope and pray that I won't have another two hour wait this time around.
In other news, not much else is going on here although since it's been so long since I've been able to update here I suppose I should bring you all up to date. Travis accepted the offer as exec. chef for the restaurant downtown and today is his first official day. The restaurant opens after Labor Day but he has a lot to take care of before then. He's pretty excited and I'm excited that he'll be back at work so I can have things back to semi-normal here at home. My routine is so lost now that I'm not sure if I'll remember what to do with myself anymore (!). Well, for one thing I'd like to do a thorough cleaning of the house so that I can ignore housework again for awhile without feeling like I'm living in too much of a pigsty. While I'm ignoring my housework (a nifty thing I'm learning to do thanks to CarryAnn), I'm going to begin work on the new website I've been hired to do. I just now received a phone call that the photographs of the product are ready for me to pick up to scan and edit. Yay.
In other news, well...I don't really have any other news unless you want to hear about my shopping trip yesterday which I know you don't because all I bought was knickers and bras (no, you don't need to hear about all that).
Well, I was told I could just babble and that would be sufficient enough for an update so this is all you're getting right now. I promise I'll post those pictures later after my trek to the DMV. I hope Xanga doesn't take another nosedive any time soon because it's very disorienting to come back after what seems like forever.
