  • Well folks, it has been awhile since I have posted or even been on my blog. I really have been busy lately and it's going to take more that one post to explain it all. Ok, since my last post, I have gone to rendezvous and Camp Grizzly, I have joined swim team again, and I have just gotten back from being a counselor at a church camp.

Ok, for now tell about what is most fresh in my mind, if you don't realize what that is, then you either don't read very well, you think that I think backwards, or you are just plain different.

Anyways, for those of you with short attention spans, different people, and people who think I think backwards, I will announce what is freshest in my mind. Drum roll please. Church camp! Are any of you surprised? Didn't think so.

Ok, I have been to this church camp 2 times before as a camper, and this was my first time as a counselor. It was much different from being a camper, in good ways and bad. We'll have the pros and cons right now.

Pros: Ability to tell kids to stop talking and go to sleep, big steak dinner the first night, ability to pray for the kids more, being able to watch them grow in the Lord. (there are a lot more, but I didn't want to bore you with the details) Cons: Not being respected when telling the kids to go to sleep, more work on kitchen patrol, being responsible for my actions. (Actually I was just kidding on that last one)

Well I had lots of fun, and will definitely be going back next year. As always we had several big water fights between the boys and the girls, the boys say they won, and the girls or course said the same. We ate rather well for  being at a camp, and didn't have too many food fights.

We had a church service every evening and morning, and all of the messages were on certain Beatitudes. We really had some great people speaking up there, people who really loved and served God with all of their heart.

I am really glad that I chose to go instead of staying home for swim team, it was a great experience to feel God up there, and to see those just worshiping God with all of their hearts.

    God bless, Ben

    Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted an "Honest-To-Goodness-Original-Post-Straight-From-The-Imagination". In fact, it has been almost 2 entire months, two months of copied and pasted posts, two months of nothing but pictures and quizzes, two months of sadness and emptiness. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating.

Anyways, it has been a while since I have posted straight from the vast inner stretches of my mind. (Notice I just said "vast", I didn't say they were filled with anything.) Anyways, on with the post!

If you have ever been in a bookstore or library, you have probably noticed that a great many of the books are self-help books. You know, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Free Yourself From Clutter, How to Find Someone You Love, No More Addictions, Why Diet When You Can Try Our New Method?, Dr. Phil's Guide to Philosophy, all that junk. Anyways, I look at all these and think of all the good people could do if they just consolidated, and found the Book that has all of these "secrets". Yes folks, this Book has it all, comforting stories and poems, guides to help you with all of your messes, love life advice, purity and cleanliness related material, and you get an added bonus! It also has true stories of heroic adventures and proven love, tales of treachery and grace, some of the most beautiful poetry in the world, love letters, even messages of what's to come! Sounds too good to be true right? Wrong. I'll bet that everyone (with the exception of maybe a few lost souls visiting my blog) has already read this book. In fact, you probably own it. Can anyone tell me what it is? Oh, skip it, I'll just blow the secret right here and now:  drum roll please....             The Bible!

Yes, this wonderful book has everything you could want in a book, it has everything that I have mentioned, it even has laws and guidelines to live by! It has tales of the beginning in Genesis, stories and laws in Exodus, more laws in Leviticus, a story of incorruptible faith in Job, poems to soothe the heart in Psalms, proverbs in Proverbs, (okay, so maybe I didn't need to explain what was in proverbs...) more beautiful poetry in  Song of Solomon, prophecy in Ezekiel, tellings of how no earthly pleasures compare with the glory of the Lord in Ecclesiastes, and all the true but unbelievable stories you could ever want.

Folks, if you don't have this wonderful book already, I encourage you to go out and buy one as soon as possible! Your eternal soul will thank you!

    God Bless you all, Ben

  • The Easiest Home Remedies in the World

     1. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from
rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit
    the snooze button.

     2. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be
    afraid to cough.

    3. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone
else to hold them while you chop away.

    4. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply using
    the sink.

    5. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few
minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.

    6. Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget
    about the toothache.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are.
    You only need two tools:
    WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
    And remember.....
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.
If you woke up breathing, congratulations!
    You never get another chance.
    And finally, be really nice to your family and friends;
you never know when you might need them to empty your bedpan.
