| An UpdateLife is crazy right now! Finals week is quickly approaching, and I have a ridiculous amount of other papers and projects to get done. Bah! Well, right now, I'm just taking a lunch break, then class. This has been a good week, though. Nickie and I are doing very well, just trying to find stuff to do in Greencastle... not an easy task. But anyhow, I am so ready for summer, although it's just going to be roadtrips to St. Louis, good times with friends and working at FedEx as a handler. But, I'm excited. My writing professor gave me some great encouragement this past week, regarding the quality and content of my paper. He noted my gift for discussing abstract, philosophical ideas, as well as concrete ideas, with clarity and well-developed thoughts. He said he wanted me to take some philosophy courses, maybe a course on logic to learn how to make air-tight arguments. I think I'll ask him to be my minor advisor. Connections are vital in academia. I went home and ate mushrooms with the fam on Wednesday, which was lovely. Anywho, my food is getting cold so I must leave you all. Take care. | | |
| I love this song. It's been a year Filled with problems But now you're here Almost as if to solve them And I can't live in a world without you now
All my life I've been searching for you How did I survive In this world before you Cuz I don't wanna live another day without you now
This is the best thing The best thing that could be happening And I think you would agree The best thing is that it's Happening to you and me
All I wanna have Is all that you can give me And I'll give right back Everything I have in me Cuz nothing ever felt as right As this does right now
I'll go back to before we met Can I erase the past Try harder to forget cuz Nothing will ever be as good as here and now
Cuz when I looked into your eyes And you dared to stare right back You should've said "Nice to meet you, I'm your other half"
And this is the best thing The best thing that could be happening And I think you would agree The best thing is that it's happening This is the best thing (the best thing) The best thing that could be happening (the best thing) And I think you would agree (whoooaaa whooaa) The best thing is that it's Happening to you and me
Always knew I'd find someone I never dreamt It'd be like this You've surpassed All that I've hoped for (and ever wished) And I'm tryin' So hard WIth all my heart and mind To make your life As good as you've made mine
This is the best thing (the best thing) The best thing that could be happening (the best thing) And I think you would agree (whooaaa) The best thing is that it's happening to you and me
The best thing is that it's happening to you and me The best thing is that it's happening to you and me
(The best thing) The best thing that could be happening (The best thing) I think you would agree The best thing is that it's happening to you and me I could have written an entry on how I'm feeling, but Relient K does it so much better. :)

| GreetingsWell, things are coming together nicely as the school year's end approaches. Filling out scholarship applications, studying diligently and still meeting new people have been the regular activities of this week. I'm beginning to feel like musicians are the coolest people in the entire world. They are certainly the people I get along with best. Plus, they actually aren't as touchy-feely as the liberal arts folk. Last night, I went to a poetry reading of Kay Ryan which was absolutely delightful. Her work is simply gorgeous. Deceptively simple in its construction, it reminds me of origami. Everyone can marvel at a paper crane, but when it is unfolded and its intricacies are laid bare that is when one can truly appreciate its aesthetic value. The poetry reading was closely followed by a jazz performance that I went to with a few friends from FIJI. Equally delightful. Ha... how cultured am I? Anywho, I'm going to be late for Spanish 332 if I don't sign off now. Bye kids. | | |
