| I am so my mother's child.. I locked myself out of the house again! Luckily, this time I had the boys WITH me. The other lucky part was that the boys bedroom window was open. So I just got a ladder and climbed in! It's moments like these that make it impossible to convince yourself that you have more red hair than blond . ..
It's been quite the eventful week.. with todays excitement as well as my trip to the local 1970's horror flick set!..Actually, I went to get some xrays taken but the building was a little creepy. I walked in and took an elevator to the basement (where the xray place was) ... the elevator took you down to a hallway in which there were no windows, no doors that were open, no people, no way out...creepy. So I open the door marked xrays, walk in, and it's just a little waiting room totally out of the 70's, the wallpaper, the floor, the furniture ... Then they take you to this little closet, change room place to change into your awesome hospital gown.. And that is where you sit, for 20 minutes, in your personal closet, waiting for them to call your name... I was waiting for the lights to start flickering and for the creepy guy to come to harvest my organs. But that didn't happen. Luckily.

| 2 months has gone by and I haven't blogged about anything?! It's not that things haven't been happening, I've just been un-inspired ..
The boys have been keeping me very busy! Lots of the usual. Snack time, nap time, play time, outside time, dirty clothes, and dirty diapers. We also took a little roadtrip to the Okanagan! The boys had a ton of fun.. lots of ppl, 2 dogs and lots of new toys! Now that we're back I swear they look around at the house, then they look at me and they have this look like "thats it? no new toys? no dogs? just you?" .. Oh well, I'll have to think of a way to make myself exciting again! But who can compete with new toys and dogs??
It's May, it's sunny, and I can't wait for the weekend. I'm going to spend some time catching up on sleep, doing a little bit of nothing and then doing a little bit of running around!
I'm off to go get organized before the boys wake up from nap time..

| The "exciting" life of a nanny... Today was in interesting day... In a turn of events... putting some things on the deck, trying to make sure a strange cat didn't come into the house and start a cat fight, trying to make sure the cat who lived in the house stayed inside...then all of a sudden, the door closes........and the kids.....are inside. OHNO. Not good. Terrible. Crap! A few of the censored things that were going through my head. I quickly scan through my mind the options I had at the moment. Knocked on some doors, no one was home. Tried a couple windows, no way in. Tried calling the kids through the mail slot (I figured if I could see them then they could get into no trouble), no answer. Finally I saw someone in their window! So I ran across the street and asked to use the phone. Then just as I was phoning for someone to bring me a key, the boys dad came home! When I told him why I was running from the neighbors house with no kids in hand he said "are you serious?" Then I had to admit that I was (not fun). When the door opened there were both kids right where I had left them. Such good boys! The longest 5 minutes ever. The blond moment of the century. Though, I'm not sure the parents were laughing...but I'm not fired?! Yet.... I'm sure this happens to everyone once?!?! Right....?

| So today the week starts... and at 630am at that! If it wasn't for the fact that I went to bed at midnight I think I'd have a better attitude towards it. But thats ok.. I've figured out a system. Since I only work 4 days a week I can get no sleep one night then go to bed early the next night and repeat. Which means I only need to be lame and go to bed between 9-10pm twice a week! Anyway, thats it for me. we are in the middle of lunch time..
Did you ever notice that Grover really has the monopoly on the job market on sesame street? No other monsters have jobs.. But Grover has like 10! Anyways...

| Walking can be very profitableEveryone knows that walking is healthy.... But last night it was a lot more profitable than that!
I was sitting around with my aunt and uncle...watching tv. Then my aunt decided it would be a good idea to go for a walk.. I said that it sounded good and suggested we go to Walmart so I could take back something and then we could look around. She agreed. My uncle on the other hand needed to buy juice from Walmart and didn't want to lug it all the way home. So he decided to drive and meet up there in a few minutes. We're at Walmart...looking around...and my uncle meets us juice in hand and is ready to go! But we still had half the store to look around in.. So my aunt told him to just drive home and we could walk.. I wasn't so sure about this.. we had already walked there! and it was 9 0'clock...I was getting tired *L*.. But that was the plan. I told myself to stop being lazy and tired and that it would be good for me! So we finish looking around (the story is almost finished but when told in details the finale seems so much grander!) and we start off for home. We're walking...and talking...and like I usually do I am looking around at the houses on the street, their gardens and the road. And what do I see?? Money? Yes, I stop and say 'Dude?!' (I don't know why I said dude... but I did..) It looks like a $50 bill?! I think to myself, sweet! I just found $50 bucks. So I pick it up and it feels a little bit thicker than that. Wait a second!?...It's 3 $50 bills. I just found $150 on the road!!!
That was a pretty awesome walk... I think I may need to go do some looking around on Amazon.ca
