This is my post-Dragon*Con entry, so here's the low-down:

I had hopes that Mr.Fradella would attend this year, but he had told me beforehand he would be unable to for financial reasons. The flip side is that next year, he will be showcasing his movie Valley of Shadows, based on a book of his. It's a very good read and I highly recommend it (leaving this open for a link). Things were a little different at Dragon*Con. Last year being my first, I was something of the innocent proverbial youth, eyes wide in awe of the completely epic showcase that is Dragon*Con. I stopped Friday night and picked up my new business cards for Coliseum Computers, which I am now actively panning. Driving to Atlanta was an interesting experience. I hit traffic for the first time in my life and spent something like forty-five minutes searching for a parking spot in the middle of downtown Atlanta. I had pre-registered, so picking up my badge took something like five minutes. I spent a few minutes walking around, then followed Sean home. Saturday, I forgot my mom's camera in my car, and I was forced to purchase a couple cameras at the local Wolf Camera. $15.00 for two disposable cameras. I have heard of having to sell an arm and a leg, but I must have sold my soul or something. I only spent something like an hour and a half (compared to almost three or four hours last year) watching Sean's booth. His friend Todd (who I met last year), was kind enough to watch it while Sean was attending panels. I attended several panels, including "The Hydrogen Myth", "Science in America and Why It's Declining", and "The Flawed Superhero". Sean attended the last panel and I greatly enjoyed the discussions. I had the pleasure of meeting my twin, Walker Evans, from TN. We only met once, then became lost in the crowds. Finding another time to meet up proved tedious and never materialized. I walked around the dealers room a great deal and took several pictures, which are now up on my Facebook. I visited the Walk of Fame, only to find out Harry Turtledove had canceled at the last minute. Later at night, Sean and I were supposed to attend the Gonzo Film Festival, however it apparently was not held this year. Sunday, the entire Taylor family attended. I spent my time in a few more panels. One high point during the weekend was a certain match of Counterstrike: Source I played in the LAN Center. Imagine Terri Schiavo as a zombie. Monday was my short day. I packed everything up that morning, then headed to the *Con. I browsed the dealers room and picked up this wonderful poster:

I had a book signed by Timothy Zahn, met a few new people, said goodbye to Sean, then left about 2:00 PM. I stopped by Grandmother and Papa's house for lunch, then headed home. I went to Michael's house in the evening for a few hours of gaming, then finished my homework. That was my totally rad weekend.

EDIT: Hello Hannah. Richard says hello too.
