Without a Valley
I'd been walking through a valley, it was dark and it was drear But in the middle of my sorrow, I heard Jesus say, "Child, I'm still here."
But without a valley, how would I ever know That His strong and gentle hand will never let me go? How would I know for sure that I'm secure and safe where e'er I go? Without a valley how would I know?
So I'll thank you, Lord, for each trial, how you're teaching me Your perfect love You have shown that I could still have joy inside Even though the road seems long and rough
But without a valley, how would I ever know That His strong and gentle hand will never let me go? How would I know for sure that I'm secure and safe where e'er I go? Without a valley how would I know?

| Saturdays mean... chores. "heehee" No... actually, today was SO much fun! Alice spent the night last night and we stayed up till 1 AM; we watched Hidalgo. Well, only part of it because Alice and I zonked out before it was over. *lol* We got most of our chores done before noon, while Alice was home to take a shower and stuff. Then she came back. I made lunch for us (at 2 o'clock ). We had grilled ham & cheese sandwiches with clam chowder! Yummy. Then I helped Alice with her Xanga! I made a layout especially for her. I asked her what kind of layout she'd like, and she told me she loves dolphins. So we went to Caedes.net and found an awesome background. I also helped her with her music. After that, I took a shower, and Alice did my hair while it was still wet. My hair is naturally curly as long as it's wet, but the way Alice fixed it, it's still curly, and it's dry! YAY!!! I love it so much. I just wish it would stay this way. Anyway, talk to you all later and have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow!

| Oh, my goodness... last night was terrifying! Thank God it wasn't worse. What happened was we were getting things ready for TeenTime, and we were bringing the TV into the church to watch a movie... Well, the edge of this TV is really pointy, and almost sharp. Bonnie was hyper, and there was an accident! The next thing we knew, Bonnie had hit her head against the edge of the TV and she was crying really hard because it hurt. Then I checked her head, and I saw something red in her hair that looked like blood. And it WAS! So I searched for where it was coming from, and I told my dad. I was trying to keep the word blood low, otherwise Bonnie would get hysterical, literally. Then one of the kids said, "Oh look! There's blood!" and Bonnie got scared and started to cry even harder. THEN we saw on the side of her face all this blood pouring down! I was SO afraid!!!! Bonnie was just so terrified because there was so much blood streaming down her face and on her hands. So we rushed her upstairs and got some rags to soak up the blood. Oh Lord, I was so afraid! I was literally crying, but trying really hard to stay calm for Bonnie. There was just so much blood, and seeing it come from my poor, little, helpless sister was more than I could take! But--thank you, Lord--the bleeding finally slowed within about 20 minutes, and it totally stopped within an hour. We went ahead with TeenTime, though it was really hectic. Mom had to stay upstairs with Bonnie, so I had to play the piano. I messed up a lot because I hadn't really practiced the songs we sang, but I did okay, I guess. Then we ate some popcorn and pop while watching the movie. I checked on Bonnie after a half-hour or so, and she was a whole lot better. She was watching one of her favorite movies and laughing, so I was really relieved. And now she's back to her normal self! THANK YOU, LORD! She's as hyper as she was before the accident, which is saying a lot. I am so, so relieved and thankful it wasn't worse!

Luther proudly holding his trophy. Oh wow, look how far the tundra stretches! Truly beautiful.
An even better one!
Luther and the two caribou he shot.
The Butcher.  (My dad.)
Wow, look at those caribou guts. And don't you dare say, "Ew! GROSS!!" *lol*
 Nice 'n' cozy...
Pretty awesome, huh? If you haven't seen the pictures in my previous post yet, check them out.
:::EDIT:::
Sanctuary was a good book. Beverly Lewis is such a great author! I'm reading another book by her now. Yesterday was quite... different, exciting, and eventful, I guess you could say. *lol* As I stated in my previous post, the weather last week was lovely. Seven gloriously warm, sunshiny days in a row! However, on Sunday night, the weather changed drastically. We had an actual, honest-to-goodness, real-life BLIZZARD! Golly, and was it a doozy. I woke up on Sunday morning, and on my way to the bathroom, I looked out the window. Where I usually saw the city building and fire hall was white nothingness. So yup, that was kind of awesome. *grin* The wind speed was something like 50 MPH. I mean, you could literally see the wind! It was so cool! *lol* We ended up having to cancel church because no one was able to get out. The blizzard cleared at around 3 o'clock, so we were able to have our regular evening service. Alice--mine and Emily's best friend here in Wainwright--got Xanga! Click here. Yay, I'm so happy!
