| Hey there! I am not doing good at posting this summer! I miss everyone in Minnesota sooooo much! I am so excited to go back to school! But the interning thing is going amazing too! The other intern, Alisha and I are starting this youth ministry on Monday in another town. It is very excited! But kinda funny that I am going to be in charge of a church. hehe. I preached a couple weeks ago here and it went amazing. I am so excited to get to do this all the time! I miss my roommate a lot and miss poking tara though. I also miss hanging out with chip, tehehe. But God has been showing me so many cool things about ministry and it is so cool to feel like I am actually doing something important. But I am majorly missing watching dr. phil, holy cows, I can't believe I have gone 2 months without viewing him though, it is rather tragic! pS thanks for commenting, hehe, it makes me feel like I have friends. But Rashad, stop commenting!!! I still hate you remember, geeeez, hehe! | | |
| hey! Whoa! It has been over a month since I have posted! I am in nebraska now being an intern!!! I love it here a LOT!!! Everyone is really nice and cool and non-hickish (well . . . not everyone is nonhickish, I have seen a few ppl with coyboy hats on walking around walmart talking about cows), so I am happy! Yesterday I went to a wedding in Omaha and got to see some of my roommates which was very exciting! And my parents are coming here for my birthday on June 9th! I am going to be 21, holy cows, I am getting to be old. I miss everyone at home a lot!!! I really like interning here though. I have a ton to do though! Like a lot, but I am learning a lot and it is like the best experience ever so far. Pastor Chris (the guy I am working under) is very cool and he is NOT the evil fat man from jr high camp that I dreamed he was. I taught Sunday School this morning and I got to go get ready to lead a small group soon of middle school girls . . . makes me thing of the old days at Celebration and our group of psycho-ness! But it is insane that those jr high girls are going to be 10th and 11th graders instead of 6th and 7th. Well that is all! I miss everyone! (except you rashad, i still wish to beat you up!) | | |
| Last night was the weirdest night at work ever!!! First of all, I got there and was locked out, so one of the residents and I had to sit there in the driveway for Katie to save us. Then one of the other resisdents got home a hour and 1/2 later than usual cuz apparently her substitute bus driver can't read a map. Then the other staff fainted while taking one of the ladies to an appointment, so she left early. And me and the lady that enjoys attacking me sat there all night alone watching tv, lol. It was the easiest shift ever though. O, except I broke off the steering part of Kelly's chair and had to crawl around the floor forever to locate it. I can't believe school is almost over! I got all my homework done finally so things are way less stressful for me! | | |
| I just got back from this prayer walk thing that we went on. It was the first time I ever did anything like that . . . we just walked around and prayed for stuff, lol, I felt like a psycho at first, but then it turned out to be cool. Plus it was a blizzard, it was randomly so freezing today. But then I started to talking to this one older guy who was on his smoke break. hehe, he gave each of a minute to tell him about God, it was funny. I have to do the awake night at work and I am kinda too lazy to stay up til 6. | | |
| Let me think of all the interesting things that have happened to me the past two weeks . . . I got staff of the month!!!! The human video advanced to nationals!!!!! (yaaaaaaay one in four out of 18, good job guys!) I got really behind in homework and the caught up! I talked to the lady I am living with this summer, she seems really nice. Me, tara, ashley, and jackie took a random road trip to wanamingo on saturday night, we ate ice cream and pet my cats and then left, lol. I stayed up until 3am last night writing a sys theo 4 paper in which I have no clue what I was talking about . . . another quality piece of diana's work, hehe. Well, I hope that you are caught up on my life now, hehe. I love Jesus sooo much, even when things are stressful and bad, he is still there and somehow they seem good.
