So I haven't been on here in a while, I read updates every day but as far as posting goes...

One day, a long time ago, in a city far far away, a boy met a girl

His name was Brian, and her name was Miriam...

They became great friends but nothing more until one day...10 years later! Yes, it's true, I'm dating Brian Carter, one of my closest friends. About 4 months ago we began 'hanging out' more and God began to work on my heart and his. We've now been dating for a few weeks and life is grand. It's been so amazing to date someone I have a great friendship with. I'm not sure what the future holds but God has been faithful. I'm so excited to continue this journey with Brian.

  • I'm moving!

Alas, an update. Since my last blog I’ve had many several successful outings with the GPS. I no longer have mapquest papers floating around my car, just give me the address and I’m there!

So I went to the chiropractor for the first time, my hip kept making a ‘pop’ sound that just didn’t seem quite right, turns out that my left leg was ¼ inch shorter than my right because of an ice skating fall 7 years ago…(Can you believe it Brian?! I don’t think I’ll ever heal from it!!) After much adjusting on my back and legs I’m now much better, I have to go back a few more times but then I should be as good as new!

Saturday I joined 24 Hour Fitness and I am loving it! They were running a personal trainer special so for the next 5 weeks I’ll be working with a personal trainer and I’m so excited because I want to learn new ways to work out and get a schedule going.

In less than a month I’ll be moving to Euless. I’m moving to a cute little ‘cottage.’ I moved some of my big furniture into it last weekend, thanks to the help of Chris and Noel. I think it’s going to be strange living on my own, after 21 roommates in less than 4 years I think I’m ready. I love having roommates but am anticipating this new season. I think God has much in store to show me/teach me. **pictures to follow after I move in**

Yes yes, there is someone special that came into my life and this weekend we got together. This someone special is always there when I need them...okay okay, I got a GPS and absolutely LOVE it!! And yes, it was pretty much love at first site...normally I don't believe in those things but...j/k Yea, I finally broke down and purchased a GPS. It's Amazing, for those of you who know me well know that I'm...well, a little directionally challenged Hopefully this will save in gas and frustration of finding my destination.

Meet Sally, the Magellan Maestro GPS.

    Gelato and Buffness

So I've discovered Gelato! It's like pudding and ice cream mixed together really thick and oh so good! I think it's my new favorite dessert (aside from Paradise Pie from Chili's of course). If you're ever by a Central Market you have to go in and try it out. May I recommend the Cocoanut mixed in Vanilla, but all their flavors are delicious!

My latest adventure is to find a side job. Not necessarily for money but to get out and meet some people. Living in little Rowlett, TX makes it very hard to meet people. Thus after much thought, I decided to apply at the new LA Fitness in Rowlett. Saturday I got my resume together and headed up there. The gym is gorgeous, new, and huge! I sat down with some guy named Ryan and after a few minutes he told me that I could apply to be a Personal Fitness Trainer! Yep, that's right ladies and gentlemen, in 3-4 weeks, 1-2 hours a day and a little $$, you two can become certified as a personal trainer! Please understand that I don't take this lightly, I have been giving it much thought, and since it's a field (health and fitness in general) that I want to continue learning about what a great idea it is. So if any of you know much about the field please help! I need some advice as to where to get my certification (there are a ton of places) and some other questions I have. In other news, the past few weeks I've been bumping up my weights for my arms and I'm beginning to get definition! Oh yea, I'm getting' BUFF! (pretty girly buff that is of course)

    Till next time,

    Miriam

    my week at a glance

I’m so excited the weekend is upon us! My week has been great.  I don’t anticipate any moving or painting this coming weekend..so glad for that. Today my co-workers and I went out for sushi, which I am developing a small love for. If you get a chance, try a “Paradise Roll”…oh my goodness.  At work our receptionist is out so I’ve been walking around with the headpiece we so affectionately call the “Brittany” phone. (Growing up I always wanted to be a singer…) I’ve been working with some quotes by Joyce Meyer so I thought I would leave you with some…Preach it Joyce!!

-You need to be moving if you want God to show you which way to go.

    - Fear is the greatest enemy of your future.

    - Do you want to be bitter, or do you want to get better?

    - If you will tend to God’s business, He will tend to yours.

    - Some people spend all their life trying to push a dead horse uphill.
