| Family Portraits-Newport BeachYou might remember this beautiful family from last summer's first birthday party. We recently went out for a fun family shoot in and around Newport Beach. The weather didn't cooperate too much. The forecast called for sun, but all we got were gray skies. But that's okay, because the company was great, and we were able to make the most of it.
1. I couldn't get enough of this cute little girl. She's nearly two now and talking up a storm! She tried so hard to produce a bubble...
2. ...and finally got one.
3. A little vintage look near the fountain.
4. Giddy up!
5. This bench is almost as small as she is.
6. Gotta love the "finger in the mouth" look.
7. Beautiful smiles!
8. Here she is doing a song and dance.
9. A little wardrobe adjustment.
10. I was so proud of my assistant, Andrew. He really did a great job helping out with all the lighting throughout the session. Here's the two of them taking a break from all their hard work. I love how she's so fascinated with Andrew's Nintendo DS.
11. More song and dance.
11. One more vintage look. I had a great time hanging out with our friends (and neighbors!). Afterwards, we enjoyed some delicious pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). The waiter gave me the "are you sure?" look when I ordered a large bowl for Andrew, but sure enough, he ate it all! Thank you, Andrew & Lynn, for a great dinner. And thank you, Erin, for making me laugh so much!

| Extended Family Portrait SessionI recently got together with an extended family of three generations for some outdoor portraits. We took a variety of shots ranging from the entire group, grandparents with the grandkids, and individual family units. They all did a great job and were a joy to work with, especially considering it was a longer than usual session! A huge thanks to Phil for assisting me! He was instrumental in helping me with lights, props, and everything in between! It's as if he read my mind every time I needed something set up. Phil, you're awesome!
Here are a few shots...
