It is always fun to speak with the boys of Good Charlotte again: you never know what they’re gonna say this time. Like does Chris really have a dutch girlfriend and does Paul really want to play in Busted? And what happens when a Good Charlotte-member makes a mistake during a preformance?

What if you could be a part of another band for a week, wich band would you choose?
Joel: Billy would choose Silverchair.
Billy: Ofcoarse i would choose Silverchair!

Do they still excist?
Billy: Do they still excist? They’re better than ever!
Chris: I would be a fake DJ. I would stand in a disco and just pretend that i was playing songs.... If i have to give a serious answer i’ll go with the Foo Fighters.
Paul: Cypress Hill is cool, a rap-lifestyle sounds good to me.
Billy: What do you think of Busted?
Paul: I would want to be their drummer for a week.
Billy: We hear drumming in their songs but do you ever see someone playing the drums?
Paul: No, that one guy plays the drums, sings and plays guitar, all at the same time.
Benji: 98 Degrees? It is a boyband but what does it matter?

(After this Benji gets a phone call and is gone for the rest of the interview.)

Do you drive each other crazy at times?
Joel and Billy together: Paul drives us crazy!
Paul: Well, what can I say? They go nuts because of me. I fart alot in my sleep and I can imagine that the other dont really like to lay in the smell of that, haha! No, I’m just kidding.
Billy: I can’t really imagine that we go crazy because of each other. We know each other too good for that. If you’re having a bad day, you just say so and it doesn’t matter. Nobody is gonna force you to do something you don’t want.
Joel: We’re crazy about each other!

Are there tracks on your albums that you don’t like?
Chris: All of them, haha!
Joel: No. We all like our songs. Ofcourse sometimes things could be better but then we’ll just write another song. I can’t think of one Good Charlotte song that I think is horrible.
Billy: There are songs that played live aren’t as good as on the record and maybe not that fun to play but that doesn’t mean that I hate them.
Paul: Wich ones are they?
Billy: Mostly songs of the first record, they’re just not as fun to play.

What would you do if you got one million dollars?
Billy: I would give it to an organisation for animals, it seems a good thing to me to save animals. Everything, yes.... It seems a good thing to do.
Joel: I would put it in the bank. No i know something better: I’ll invest is and earn 3 million. One million goes to a good cause and the other 2 go to me.
Paul: I’m gonna live off the interest.
Billy: Or quit the band and get really fat!
Paul: A million isn’t that much.
Joel: What are you talking about?! It is alot of money!
Paul: But is it enough to live of in with my demands?
Joel: What? There are people living of 5000 dollars a year!
Paul: Chill, man, I’m just kidding....

What do you do if one of the others screw up during a preformance?
Billy: I’ll kick that person off the stage right away and beat him up after the preformance! After that he’ll hav to apologize or we’ll kick him out of the band.
Paul: A week of no food, that’s the best punishment!
Joel: Ehm, it happens every evening and it isn’t a problem. I forget my lines all the time.
Billy: I find it funny if something goes wrong, it’s something different. And if something goes wrong, you just look at that person with a mean smile.
Paul: So that’s why you always laugh at me during the shows, haha.

Would you run away if a group of fans would come your way?
Chris: How many fans? Fifty?
Billy: Fifty fans that would come at at me? I know I would run away immidiatly!
Joel: If fifty fans are coming at you, you’ll never know what is gonna happen. If they just want your autograph it isn’t a problem, but if they constantly wanna touch you....
Paul: Even if fifty other things were coming at me i would run. Fifty is just too much.

Would you date fans?
Joel: Of course, always..... Chris has a girlfriend that is a fan of us.
Billy: Her name is Josie...
Joel: ... she’s made out of rubber...
Billy: .... and she comes from Holland
Chris: I met her at a place with alot of red lights.
Billy: She’s got a really weird face, with just one expression...
Chris: The disadvantage is that I have to inflate her everynight.
Joel: It doesn’t matter that much. It is fun if you’re dating a girl who likes your music.
Paul: Yeah, It would be horrible to come off stage and your girlfriend would say it sucked... The sex would be alot less great that night, haha!
