I didn't know where it was going until it mentioned dying on the cross. Because, even though he does mention God quite a bit, he's a mainstream country artist. I haven't heard him sing a song that's all about Him. So I didn't expect it. But I'm glad I didn't, because it hit me harder when I did realize what it was about.

I held on to the end -- I'm not a strong country music person, though I"m learning to like it more. He was a bit too much for me.... though he had a good voice. Like you, I didn't know until the same moment as you, where it was going.

@JusticeMom - We aren't strong country music people, either. I grew up hearing it, because my dad listened to some, and I dated someone who loved country music. I do like some country, but I lean more to Contemporary Christian music. I like this guy's voice, though. My nephew's wife chose one of his songs for their wedding and it was perfect.

@JusticeMom - I'm not either. I used to absolutely hate country music, but in the last couple of years I've grown to like some of it. But I don't even like all of Josh Turner's songs. But I'm starting to.
