Easily fueling the fire of Transformers fans for years to come. While the sexual humor and stuff was not needed, the robots were cool enough to allow you to forget all of that.

Ratatouille is also a great film. It's a simple story that takes you on an original adventure. Pixar is second to none when it comes to animating a film.

Now, if you haven't seen Transformers yet, go now. I'm going to write what I think will happen in the next one, so stop reading until you've seen the first one.

Still with me?

Okay. Here's what my ideal storyline for the next Transformers film would entail.

Transformers 2

A huge spaceship called the Ark is headed for Earth. On board are many of the remaining Autobots, answering the call of Optimus Prime. Close behind, Starscream is on-board a Decepticon ship, filled with Decepticons such as Soundwave, among others. As the Ark approaches Earth, the Decepticons damage the ship and it crash lands on the side of a volcanic mountain in a desert region of the United States.

The Decepticons are under the "leadership" of Starscream, returning to Earth to seek revenge. However, Soundwave double crosses Starscream, and finds a way to bring the ship into the Ocean, where Megatron awaits. It is there, under the water, that the Decepticons build a base of operations.

Sam and Mikaela start out the movie having married between films. That takes care of any possibility of a Will Turner/Elizabeth Swann type love story, plus it takes out the "will they/won't they" and leaves room for more of what we're all there to see anyway: TRANSFORMERS.

Meanwhile, Optimus leads the Autobots to the crash site of the downed Ark where they form a headquarters.

In the desert lives a boy that already feels like he's been outcast from society. People look at him differently. Living in the desert, he's become great with computers, and wishes he could live a "normal" life. His name is Chip Chase, a young computer genius that is confined to a wheelchair. When one of the Autobots is in trouble near by, he is able to come to their aide, and eventually comes to help them out at their base. No longer the outcast, he is one of many that people now admire, the perfect teammate for the Autobots. (In the original animated series, Prowl's "battle computer" is damaged in a fight with Decepticons. He then goes online to seek help from the Autobots or from Teletran 1, the computer system in the Ark. He, instead, communicates with Chip, who gives him a hand.)

Without the All-Spark Cube, the Decepticons have a new goal: Energon. They'll take it from wherever they can. And the Autobots have to stop them from getting too much of it, or they'll be able to construct a new All-Spark Cube.

Thus ends my idea's for Transformers 2, so far.

I wanted to also fit the Dinobots in, but this is already pretty full, so perhaps Transformers 3.

Anyway, that's a bit of what I think the sequel should have. I think the story should now be more from the robots' perspectives.. we've gotten the movie that introduces them, now we're primed and ready for a movie that focuses on them almost entirely.
Ireland Updates

Punk Rock Catholic - Updates on Ireland and more!
Go see Bridge to Terabithia, buy Anberlin and Relient K

Bridge to Terabithia is an awesome movie. Not a fantasy film in the slightest, but has some fantasy elements. Just make sure that the sound quality in the theatre you're viewing it within is up to par. The first time I saw it, the sound rocked. The second time left a LOT to be desired. But the movie is well worth seeing.

Anberlin's new album Cities, based on the first listening, is a fantastic album. I already like it better than "Never Take Friendship Personal." At least this one doesn't have two songs that start with the same lyrics (it's not exact, but far too similar to me... however a small nit-pick of mine).

Do they not have pen or paper where you are? - Stationary Stationery

Are there no shadows where you are? - (The Symphony of) Blasé

All in all, the new album is strong and starts out with a bang.

Relient K's new album Five Score and Seven Years Ago is also phenomenal. I highly recommend picking it up when it is released on March 6th. I've got the special edition pre-ordered (I know that it's good because I've somehow managed to get the entire album, not to mention that I purchased a single from it on iTunes). Jon Foreman of the band Switchfoot lends his vocals to part of the 11-minute song "Deathbed;" which closes out the album.

All in all, two very strong albums for the year 2007, that will be hard to match.
from Walden Media. They're an awesome company with a lot of great
things going that we can emulate. We can even use their ideas and take
part in their contests and everything. I just got a call from Chip
Flaherty from Walden Media, and he told me all about some pretty
awesome things that Walden Media has going on. I've added some links to some of this stuff to my Walden Media Fan Site (www.waldenfans.com).

Walden Media, Paramount Pictures, HarperCollins, Nickelodeon
Movies, Kerner Entertainment and our partners are teaming up to "Break
a World Reading Record With Charlotte’s Web." The record attempt is for
MOST PEOPLE READING ALOUD SIMULTANEOUSLY IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS.

On Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 12 noon (EST), you are invited
to join students, educators, librarians and fans of Charlotte’s Web who
will gather in schools, hospitals, libraries and community centers to
read a passage from E. B. White’s classic tale of friendship, kindness,
selfless giving and miracles. It is our hope that “Break a World
Reading Record with Charlotte’s Web” will introduce this wonderful
story to a new generation and reintroduce the story to fans who haven’t
read it since childhood. Please read further to see how you can
participate in this exciting event.

I'm going to more games next summer.).

My first Tiger game since the double header. (For the double header, they played the Boston Red Sox and won both games. The first, 8-4. The second, they were down. They wound up winning 18-9.)

A few years ago, the Tigers set the Major League loss record. But they were always my team, and I always followed them.. even when I wasn't able to watch any games (I don't have cable though, so that meant checking scores and losing track of who actually plays on the team). I also stopped buying baseball cards a long time ago, when they got up to more than $1.00 per pack.

And now, the Tigers have won seven straight games in the playoffs (after losing game 1 of the opening series to the New York Yankees, they swept the rest, winning the best of 5 series 3 games to 1), to enter their first World Series in 22 years. They'll play either the St. Louis Cardinals or the New York Mets. (Cardinals are leading the best of seven series at 2 games to 1)

This is a great day to be a Tiger fan.
