It is Good friday! Good for us, it was not so pleasant for the Lord Jesus Christ. Suffering...stripes and crucifixion. Boy am I glad he took those stripes for our healing! After a week long of nursing sick ones I am glad all are on the mend! Happy easter "ya'll"

Last night I had a very special IM conversation with my eldest daughter. I had been thinking how each child is different and is unique. I know that there are alot of books and theories that says we can use one parenting style for all our children but I dont agree. Each child has a different tempermant and love language.While there will always have to be rules and parameters...and consequences for disobedience...we also have to tailor make how we relate and discipline each child. Yes, the Bible does tell us to discipline our children for rebellion. But, even God dealt with his children differently.

Take for instance in the garden of eden, both Adam and Eve had consequences for their disobeying God, but 1st their consequences were not identicle and second, he gave them a promise of hope. Through Eve would come a son, and the enemy would bruise his heal, but the son would crush the enemy's head. Although they were driven out of Eden, God provided for them clothing. It was actually and act of mercy..driving them out of Eden, because God knew that through His son, all who would believe, would be able to be in relationship with God again for ever. Had they eaten from the Tree of Life, they would never have died and would have been seperated eternally from God, their loving Father that freely gave them everything they needed and desired to have a relationship with them.

Then, we have Abraham, he made many mistakes, lied about his wife, slept with his wife's maid but God blessed him even though he was not perfect. Abraham suffered consequences from having 2 sons from different women. Namely the Arab/Israeli conflict because they both claim the inheritance of Abraham their Father.

How about Sarah his wife? When God said she would have a son next year, she laughed...she denied it(lied to GOd outright) and did God zap her into oblivion for that lie? No, he just said "Nay, but you did laugh" and the following year she had a son.

When David "a man after God's own heart committed adultery and then murdered the husband of Bathsheba, God sent a prophet to convict David of the sin. The Lord allowed the first child of that adulterous relationship to die at a young age. But, their second child, Solomon, became the wisest King in all of History.

God, as my example, has shown me that he deals with his childrens shortcomings and sins differently. Sometimes severly, like with Ananias and Saphira in the book of Acts, and sometimes gently like the woman caught in the act of adultery. But, besides the punishment, he also seeks to RESTORE his children.

So while it may seem to my own children that I am not consistent with my discipline and methods, it is tailored to fit each one of them. Some need a sharper rebuke, and others a gently encouragement to turn from sin, but always there needs to be restoration in the relationship. Mercy needs to be shown as often as possible .God does not FORCE our obedience, he asks us for it. And when we fail he does not always punish us and there are not always consequences, this is not license to sin, but it is showing us his mercy. Mercy = not getting the punishment we deserve.

I have to learn when do there need to be consequences and when to apply mercy. Sometimes I probably punish when there should be mercy and sometimes I offer mercy when their should be punishment. At least I know that with God, he is always just in whether we receive our deserved consequences or mercy.

May the Lord extend his hand of mercy upon you, not for license to sin, but because we have a sin nature and could never stand up under what we rightly deserve.

I saw a friends post that says THIS is the reason she does not post anything real on xanga..and this is my response to her : By being real on xanga you have an opportunity to exchange ideas and to come and reason together like Paul commands us to do in the New Testament. David wrote that iron sharpens iron and that the wounds of a friend are better than the kisses of an enemy. If we can not steo up and defend Jesus and His Word in this realm how can we ever hope to defend ourselves when an attack comes face to face?
This ia an awesome venue to use for the glory of God and the presentation of HIS TRUTH..if you actually believe God's word is true or have fallen to the wisdom of this World to turn us away from the truth of His Word. Either Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever..or we can not believe he payed the price and through HIM we are going to heaven. All the promises of the Messiah to come and what he would do and the promises of what would happen in the future came from the Old Testament. If you dont have that ..YOU HAVE NOTHING! No Salvation..no MESSIAH.. and No promises and No heaven.. SCARY. We can essentially create a God of our own making by choosing what we WANT and dont want to believe. But that God has no power to save your soul or give you the precious promises that are in the Word of God. Of course only those that are lost and sinners need a Saviour. And for all there is only ONE WAY to heaven and it is by Jesus, the Messiah out of the Tribe of Judah, born in Bethlehem, to a virgin, lived a sinless life and was crucified then rose again. All those were prophesied in the OT and in the OT came the promises of what Jesus would do when he was here and also outlines our future here on earth and into eternity you take away those things and you have nothing! The wisdom of men is foolishness to God. The beginning of WISDOM is the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD..this is also posted on MARINESAREAWESOME

Dreams....over the past 3 years the Lord has been showing me things in dreams. Both things that actually are going to come to pass or things that are happening spiritually with the Church. But, I am up at this time in the morning because the Lord has been given me disturbing dreams over the last 3 days, and this morning I asked the Lord if he was to send another one, to then please give me the interpretation to understand the meaning. Well, in order to explain the meaning I have to lay some ground work. First, my husband, the leader of our home has told me that I was not to teach speech and debate next year. He is not so sure we should be involved in it or another Homeschool support group that we are currently in here in our county. I was vacilating back and forth and new that my lesson plans if we would be involved are do on Friday. THIS FRIDAY. Yes, wives reverance your husbands...but in the back of my mind I was thinking "what if.." and that I would have those lesson plans ready "in case".

My dream this evening was about myself trying to be at a Tea Party, with a lot of other moms and their children all dressed up. But my children were not suppose to be there and their dad came to pick them up, but my eldest wanted to be there and when I thought she had gotten everyone in the van I discovered she had left one of the little girls with me, and not only that but she herself was there. Now I thought to myself, my husband is not going to leave with two of the children here and he must be waiting in the parking lot fuming by now. During this process I was accidentally breaking the table glasses no matter how hard I tried. There were two other characters that I knew in this dream. One, the head of Speech and Debate club and the other the head of the HOmeschool support group. WEll, upon gathering the girls, at a table once I realized they were at the tea party..I looked out the window for my van. At last glance I saw it. I opened the door and saw my husband in a rage, disciplining one of the children, because they did not have the patience to be in the van all this time and were acting up. Next I saw my son standing outside with a bloody nose, telling me his sister had been kicking him. Well. that woke me up with a start and even the little baby next to me who had fallen asleep nursing was wimpering in her sleep. I know this may just seem like a bad dream...but I asked the Lord earlier to reveal it to me. So as I became conscience trying to shake the dream..I recognized the people involved, and realized I did not belong there to begin with and neither did my children. There father had been trying to pull us out and their were consequences in the dream for me not wanting to let go. Well, after that rebuke, I am sure I will obey the will of my husband and NOT sign up for those next year!

Now the hard part comes...letting everyone know...including my eldest daughter. Maybe I will let my husband tell everyone.

"Songs of Deliverance" has a very special meaning to me. After 8 births, 6 wich occured in the last 8 years, I am so glad that it is the Lord that brings to the birth and draws forth from the womb! There are so many layers to the word of God, literal, spiritual, and figurative.

God is the great Deliverer..I will have to do a word study on what all that means.
