Last night was fun. Well, yesterday was fun, but last night was very amusing, and fun, as I said. So here's what happened: I dropped by Zach's house around two o'clock, and we spent several hours, I think it was, listening to music (Flogging Molly, The Streets, etc.) and trying to decide what to do. We walked over to Kate's, and found that she was at work; after that we had Zach's father drive us to the mall, where we bothered Kate and got free samples (Zach had three). We ran into Rafael there, which was wicked, as I haven't seen him in ages and I don't get to nearly enough. (HINT HINT, Rafael!) Once we had our fill of that, we wandered around the mall, and eventually wound up in Lens Crafters, where Zach proceeded to help me look for a pair of suitable glasses - I'll be getting new ones this Christmas - and I've found seven pairs I like, thus far. We ended the mall trekk with poking each other with Applebee's toothpicks and wondering about life, the universe, and why I deserve anyything I want.
Zach's father drove me back home, and Zach stayed there a few minutes while our parents chatted downstairs with Liba (a friend of the family). Zach spent that time looking through my computer files and poking fun of me. (To be fair, I spent the day calling him Tim the Duffer.) He went home, and I was going to spend the rest of the night reading, only the dryer caught fire. So that's the fun part, there. Two firetrucks (I still have the headache from those - so manny lights!), and two police cars, and some guy asked if I was alright and that I could spent the night or at least a while at his house while everything calmed down. I declined. He was creepy.
Anyway, I must go. I have work to do. Until then.

I don't seem to be using this journal anymore, do I? I feel it might be a bit pointless to say, but don't expect many updates from now on, if you even expected in the first place. At least, not unless I have something I want well-known; or perhaps if it would please me to gloat about something, I'll do so here. (Not bloody likely, is it?)
Anyway, I must go meditate and think about things. Until then.

I have found a cure! Or at least a time-saver. I found out just a minute ago that AppleWorks can do the HTML coding for me, thus saving me several hours that would have otherwise been spent coding the fanfiction for GIM! I am SO FRICKIN' HAPPY!
And am I just really weird to like that I don't have a job anymore, without having made that choice? Until then.

I AM ALIVE! But only for a short while.
I know I haven't updated in ages...and this post won't be terribly long. I'm borrowing someone else's computer at the moment because mine doesn't have internet access anymore, and hasn't for several months. Hence, my silence up to now. But I thought I should try to get something up here, and here it is!
Aside from my job at the theatre and school, I'm working on my horror movie (I'm nearly halfway done), three books, my websites Get Inside the Mind! (I've almost completed the renovations), The Renegade Underling (it's barely begun), and my modeling portfolio page, several fanfiction, and (last and least important) not harming anyone even when s/he deserves it - very much. If anyone's interested to know, as of this writing I have 23 fanfiction, 15 books, 5 screenplays, one play, 4 manga series, and various other projects. Note, I'd say I'm working on one of those series, but I've basically shoved all of the work onto my 'employees', like I should be doing. Ha, ha.
In the near future I want to have saved up enough money to buy a PS2 and the DDR game as well as a DDR pad. That's a bit over $200, which splits into about $25 for eight people...and Christmas is coming, not to mention my birthday the day before... (Hint, hint!) I also want to finish one of my projects - I think it'll be the horror movie, if anything. And once it's done, I can send it off to be critiqued, flamed, and ultimately...destroyed. But I hope not. Maybe I'll send it to Kate; and if she has nightmares after reading it, it's a success, and I can sleep peacefully.
Last Tuesday was Miles' birthday. Cheers for the (spoiled) 19-year old (brat)! I got him a Ty (tm) stuffed dog.
^_____^
Y'know, I wasn't feeling very upbeat the other day; my morning started poorly. But several things made up for it: I found just the perfect distraction - a Toyota Supra. It's a wicked car that's similar in design to Joe's Italian something-or-other, and I love the design of it, so it follows that I like the Supra's design, as well. (And I'll have to look at another Italian car, the Lotus, I think it's called. It was in Pretty Woman.) Another thing was that I found a great store in town where I might be able to buy all or most of my Halloween/cosplay costume! I'll be Triela from Gunslinger Girl. And the other thing that improved my day, you ask? Miles will be moving out in a week! Mostly I'm looking forward to not having to baby-sit him and not having to deal with that stupid noise he calls music. And I might be able to use some of his furniture; I'm thinking of putting one of the yellow couch/fold-out beds in my room and putting my bed in that room. I know I can't have that room to myself, though. Stevi has already said it'll be a guest/entertainment room. So it goes.
Well..! I said this would be a short post, didn't I? Have I put you to sleep with my blathering? In that case I'll stop here. Until then.

Zach has drawn the base for one of the characters in one of my manga series (henceforth referred to as SS), Daniel is working on a different character, Scott is working on another, and I'm working on yet another character! I have plans for this series: Once the first volume is finished and the second is underway, we'll make copies of the volume and drop them off at the library, nearby stores, and, of course, the theatre (if my manager will allow it)! And on the topic of manga production, I have two other series in the planning stages, and they need artists! I haven't talked to Scott, Daniel, or Zach about it yet because I don't want to scare them off or anything, and I don't want to shove work onto them when I'm not even paying them a dime. (Sorry, guys! But you can keep a coin if you find it lying about the house...) I'm very much excited about these ideas! Finally something is getting onto its feet!
The bus didn't come today so I almost missed my appointment, but lucky for me I had my bike; I managed to get to the next leg of the journey, the freeway. And when I got to the Transit Center, my day improved: There was a group of summer school students who'd just gotten out and were functioning on an even lower mental standard due to the unprecedented stress and ungodly amount of work they had received in class. It was really very easy to antagonize them. None had ever heard of Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Vivaldi, or even Mozart, imagine..! I was quite amused to find that they held "rap music" in high esteem and seemed to think it would last through the centuries as classical music has. Of course, I did try to compromise, suggesting bands they ought to have heard of. All for naught. They didn't even know who Muse was, or The Police; nothing but rap. Oh well. It isn't my fault. (And if I happen to soun rather arrogant or superior at the moment, you're likely correct - I'm feeling quite smug. Idiots who at least know when they are being insulted does wonders for one's attitude.)
I think I'm actually getting better at drawing anime-style. I haven't drawn anything in ages, and today I encountered a woman who had a peculiar look about her, so I stopped, sat on some stairs, and drew her in my notebook; it took altogether a minute at most, and it didn't turn out half-bad. I can remember what the woman looked like, anyway. And I also tried drawing one of the characters from SS as I mentioned above, and that, while taking less than a minute, came out okay, as well. I browsed through a few tutorials on how to draw the style of art, so that might have contributed. Or maybe I just needed to take a break or stop trying so hard to draw well. Who knows.
Anyway, I should get to my Kendo exercises. Urgh. More work. Before I go, I want to say thanks to Kate for the comment on my previous post - it's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks the majority of movies out today are crap! Mine won't be! But seriously, I do have four screenplays underway; maybe in a few (hundred) years you'll see one of them on screen! Until then.
