It's true what they say about writing emails when one's frowning or grinding teeth -- probably a good idea to cool of before sending that email!  Was bit of a hothead today at work, sent off an email that I hadn't realized had a less-than-friendly tone (in my head, it was just a sarcastic/humourous tone).  I was about to fire back a reply to the original email, but I had the good sense to consult my supervisor, since I knew I was annoyed about the turn of events and a little bell was ringing in my head to let me know "this is not a good idea".  It reminds me of a Scrubs episode, where J.D. wished he had someone there to tell him when he's about to make a mistake and in his head, that person turned out to be some opera tenor singer-type person.  "Miiiiistaaaaaaaaaaaake!"  Anyways, my supervisor read my email out loud to me with inflections, and I realized that it had a nasty tone if read a certain way.  Needless to say, I refrained from actually sending the response.

I blame all this on a low tolerance for stupidity and inefficiency...

For the record, I still think Robocop is way better than Iron Man.

I just want to put it on record that I haven't eaten too many chocolate candies that I didn't like, but the Skittles Chocolate Mix is by far one of the grossest "chocolate"-flavoured candies I have ever tasted.  Isn't market research supposed to prevent these products from reaching the general public?!?  I don't even know whether or not my trying out all 4 sub-flavours was self-abuse or bravado.

Not every day that I come across a candy that I actually have to drink water to wash out the taste afterwards.  Yeeech!

Congrats to Goosekim and his smashing new pad!  Just make sure you have a pre-defined signal for your cousin to let him know when you're entertaining da ladies!

It seems like the only time I write these days is to state my annoyance at the TV world...   Anyways, got some bad news today -- one of my favourite shows Intelligence did not get picked up for a third season; and to add insult to injury, CBC decides to renew The Border instead.  Arg.  I don't know who to be more mad at, the TV executives who continually cancel all the smart shows I enjoy or that the TV audience in general is a bunch of sheep who like crap.

I gave it a fair shot...  Really I did.  Three episodes of The Border and I have given up on it.  I thought maybe it's just teething problems with the pilot, but I think it's the whole production that I don't like.  It's not just the over-the-top plot, but the lines, the acting, the inattention to details -- they're all just terrible!  The acting is very wooden and the line deliveries are simply cringe-worthy.  And the way they made the JTF2 bit characters just makes me shake my head... the way they're drawn, it's like they are just dumb muscle... "uh, what should I do? Duhhhhh"  And maybe I'm just a purist, but it is unacceptable to use take-off footages of F-18 planes and call them F-16s!  F-16 has a single vertical stabilizer, not two dammit!  Hahaha, you can tell that I kind of wanted the show to be good eh?

Xanga seems kind of dead lately... I guess the blog fad is on its way out...

We must ask ourselves crucial questions. Where are we? How did we get here? Why did we come? Where do we want to go? How do we want to get to where we want to go? How far do we have to go before we get to where we want to be? How would we know where we were when we got there? HAVE WE GOT A MAP? Why did we leave places to get to where we are? Where were we before that we had to leave to get to where we are before we knew we're going to go to where we want to be? Where would we end up if we had the choice? Where would we end up if we didn't have the choice? What would we choose given the choice? Do we have that choice to choose? Or indeed can we be choosy about the choice? What are the chooses? Choices! Do we want to stop now? (Rhetorical.) Or do we want to go right back to the beginning and start all over again. Perhaps not. But surely you can see my point. - Rowan Atkinson "Sir Marcus Browning M.P."
