BEIJING - A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner
Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson,
the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.
No injuries were reported although both vehicles were slightly damaged, it said.
The
woman, identified only be her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of
crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive," according
to Xinhua.
"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while
she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not
make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."
Xinhua did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li paid for repairs.
Ahh I keep on forgetting to bring my camera to work so that I can upload pictures. But then again, I should be working.
Anyway today was kind of a weird day and I felt I should document it before things like this start becoming normal.
There was a huge traffic jam in front of my apartment complex tonight which is unusual for the location that we're in. People here don't know the meaning of the phrase "silence is golden" so they are especially horn happy. Some people seem to think that if they honk long enough it'll improve the current traffic congestion. Well this woman was honking as if her life depended on it. Two of the residents who were outside waiting for taxis were screaming at her to stop. When she didn't stop one of the ladies threw a soda bottle at her car, cursed her off while complaining to the security guards at the same time. Talk about multitasking. Obviously, horn happy lady stopped.
You have to prepay for all the utilities here so the credit that we had for electricity ran out at the office. It was a really nice 2 hour break. Yayy...
