i didn't know where else to put this, since i already did a blog on myspace today, but.....

USA today put out a list of the 101 most influential people who never lived.  i'm not posting it all, but here are some of the highlights:

#1 is the Marlboro Man. 

#6 is Frankenstein's Monster

Prince Charming comes in at #20.

The Little Engine That Could (come on, you have to kind of laugh at this one) is at #31, just behind Hester Prynne.  surely, you can see that these two have so much in common...

Godzilla is #38.  does he even count, as a 'person'?

#44 is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  i only have one question in response to this: are we talking kristy swanson or sarah michelle gellar?

55. The Ugly Duckling

56. Loch Ness Monster (Nessie)

57. Atticus Finch

atticus finch comes in after a bird from a kid's story and an imaginary sea creature???...wait. imaginary?  Nessie Lives!

75 is the cat in the hat.  i like suess.  i shall not argue.

93. The Great Gatsby.  which is the title of the book.  not the character's name.

and rounding it out at 101: paul bunyan.  yeah.

can i just make a few suggestions??: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Susie Salmon, Vincent Vega and Jules Winfeild, any of the X-men (since batman was on the list), Frodo Baggins (yeah, i said it.), George Bailey, James Bond, or Jean Valjean?
