I just watched The Notebook. It was sad. I cried my eyes out. I like it.
How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:19-21
*i could be wrong, but when i read "whether you turt to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, 'this is the way; walk in it,'" i take that as... there is an answer and whichever way i turn, it will be shown to me.
as i was discussing this with Siarah and Nikki (BFF) last night, Si said that sometimes we have to move stuff out of the way before we can hear it. Nikki said it was our brain. i don't know. but it's pretty crazy how you can be wandering around not knowing the answer to your questions and then one day you can just come home from class and get slapped with it. i guess it's not supposed to be this complicated. we just make it that way.
*another comment about the passage. bread and water are two things that our bodies need. i think it's interesting that adversity is compared to bread and affliction is compared to water. we need these things. they're necessary for growth. i guess that takes away any excuse to wallow. i guess i'll choose joy instead.
sorry for the rambling edit.
