| I love Saturdays. So, I'm obeying Karina and posting...though I haven't stopped to organize any thoughts, so this all be quite nonsensical. It's been a good week. It went by fast. I think my recital stuff is all coming together. My mom met me at freeman urgent care Tuesday night since there was no time in the day to get to the student health center, and she paid the visit fee! On top of which our fabulously nice doctor lady, upon learning that i had no health insurance, provided me with samples of all the antibiotics I needed. God is so good! So, I'm feeling much better now :) Wednesday, Shan and I managed to survive the senior assessment. The best part were the four questions all about Paul's aria from Barber of Seville ;) woot woot for some questions we know the answer to! So by Wednesday afternoon my brain was so fried that I couldn't have been readier to just go dance all afternoon with a bunch of high school kids (auditions for their musical Thoroughly Modern Millie). The kids were really good and really focused. And I'm so excited for my lil' bro Craig--he got the part of Bun Foo--so he has to sing in Mandarin! The only downside to all that, was my body aching like an old person the rest of the week. We're limited on days for choreography so I used a large portion of one of the production numbers; i warned them that it was the longest, fastest, hardest audition dance we'd probably ever done, and they were up for it. I, on the other hand, had not anticipated how my body would feel after doing the dance full-out with them 50+ times! ouch. Rehearsals for Jade's One Act, Chamber Music, have been enjoyable. We always goof when Dr. Fields comes to watch, though. Had a great time with a bunch of the band kids after Nick's pops concert Thursday night; we went to Stout's--yum! Nick is really excited about his upcoming composition lessons with Pete Havely. I'm proud of him. His song for Ben's senior recital is one of his best ;) And then last night, it was like our very own Saved By the Bell moment: I had a voice message from Shan (she was on her break at CFA) I had just gotten done with the scene performance, so I headed straight there. She was still on her break, and I just went right upstairs at CFA for some girl time. So after a few minutes of chatting up there, they yell--Shannon, you're friend from world's of fun is here! So, we know it has to be Chad, so i peek my head down there and tell him she's busy. He's like--what?? Why are you back there? it was fun. After a few more minutes Shan's break was over, so I headed out to the food court and sat down with Chad, then he spots katie walking into Hallmark, so i call her and she comes out and sits down with us. Not five minutes later, Gavin walks up. He says hey to shan and nick, gets some food and rejoins us. Then Chad has to go back to work, and Kyle Maloney walks up! It was totally like we all met up at the Maxx! way fun. Afterwards Katie came over, we ate our dinner, and then she did homework while i did dishes and put clean clothes away. ahh, domestic life. Shan joined us after she got off work...and then Nick when missing. we tried to call him like 3 times and he didn't answer. It never occured to me to look out the window, so by the time we were headed out for a search party, we saw that he was sitting in his car talking on the phone right outside. funny. That's my week in a nutshell. we got our tax refund this week, and the first batch of our wedding photos. The announcement should be in the newspaper tomorrow :) Love to you all--well anyone who actually checks xanga anymore... xoxo, Stephanie |
