Okay, so this is my last entry on xanga.  I've decided to fully move over to Myspace (if you don't have an account, you should get one) because it's better for talking to people.  If you are on there, you can find me at http://www.myspace.com/stirlinghawk

I bid all my xanga friends a fond farewell.

Greeting from China.  Just a quick note.  I will be in Los Angeles from the 24th to the 27th.  After that it is Central WI as usual.

I miss all of you and wish many of you could be here to experience this.  Changsha was incredible and Beijing is proving to be nice too.  Can't wait for Shanghai.

If you want to get ahold of me, my yahoo email account is the best way.  Hawkeye409999@yahoo.com

Love to all

What's been going on in my life?

I went to Chicago with Emily and had a fantastic time... we ate at Bijan's (highly recommended), walked around Navy Pier (highly recommended), went to the Art Institute of Chicago (guess what...),  saw Wicked (........!). It was a glorious time. I think I could make a habit of it.

·        I'm going to Canada on the 30th with Kate and Steve for a few nights

·        I leave for China on the 14th of July

·        Fly into L.A. on the 24th of August

·        Home on the 27th

·        School recommences shortly thereafter

Otherwise . . . life barrels on like a runaway train. Wausau is insufferable (as per usual), the denizens remain tolerable (however prone to gossip-mongering they may be), the sole company of unparalleled worth is still my dog, and all my meaningful conversation has been had with myself.

I part with my quote for the Summer, ". . . there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."

Tonight, Kait, Emily and I attempted to go to our old high school's graduation but tornados cut the ceremony off half way through.  We were forced to sit on the floor in classrooms for an hour.

We left after that and skipped the rest of the ceremony.

What the fuck.

lol

Namaste.

The Notebook (New Line Platinum Series)

Tonight, I needed to cry.  I don’t find myself in a mood like this too often, but tonight I needed to cry.  Smiling, laughing, talking, walking, drinking… these have their places, but every so often, no combination or strength of these does justice to the complexity of emotions.  If you could imagine a perfectly flawed, harmonious discord of elation and sorrow… daring and trepidation… restlessness and utter exhaustion, perhaps you would begin to skim the surface of how I felt.  A planned cry was in need.

Even though I had never seen it and had no idea what the premise was, I knew what would get me there.  I went out and rented The Notebook.  It’s true that I can get misty-eyed over just about anything, but I wanted the floodgates to open.  So, I pulled out what I have been told is the equivalent of “the big guns”.  Needless to say, it worked.

Everything that built up to my juxtaposition of emotions still exists and won’t soon go away, but I feel slightly comforted after finding such a pure outlet in which to express them.  Tears don’t sort out the world’s problems, but they do help wash out your eyes so you’re ready to look at the world afresh and make what you want out of life.

I’m going to bed now.  I wish you all a very fond good night.

            Namaste
