TIME FOR CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever thought about how many people are this grand world of ours...I mean REALLY thought about it...

6.5 BILLION
^ ^ ^ constantly increasing ^ ^ ^

I'm not sure why...I've just thinking about this a lot lately.  There are so many people on this earth...and so many differences between us all...it's mind-boggling...

• people who have billions of dollars...people who have no dollars
• people living in grass huts...people living on park benches...people living in average houses...people living in 100 room mansions
• people who speak Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Spanish, Ukrainian...thousands of languages...many of which I will probably never hear
• kids living without parents...parents living without kids
• people who lie, cheat, and manipulate to get to the top of a raging business...people who lie, cheat, and manipulate to get a bite of food to make it through another day
• people who wake up ready to conquer the day...people who wake up and wish they hadn't
• people who read a book a day...people who can't read
• people who throw away piles of food...people who would be saved by those piles of food
• people climbing mountains...swimming in the ocean...running across fields...flying in the clouds
• people who watch hours of tv everyday...people who don't even know what a tv is
• people falling in love...people feeling the pain of divorce
• people who have more stuff than they know what to do with...people who have next to nothing (and yet are quite possibly the happier ones)
• people dreaming and hoping...people crying and depressed
• people who are perfectly healthy...people who are dying of disease...hunger...drugs...sickness in general
• people who see murder on tv...people who see murder in real life
• people who will drink nothing but pure, bottled water...people who have nothing but dirty, unsanitary water 
• people who know Jesus...people who know about Jesus...people who have never heard of Jesus

I could go on and on...it's crazy.  But you know what's even more crazy??  Out of all those people...God chose me.  He's chosen others too of course...but out of the 6.5 billion people in the world...He chose me.

"Look at my servant, whom I have chosen.
He is my beloved, who pleases me.

There's SO MUCH MORE to this world than the little bubble I'm living in...and I want to see it...I want to learn about it...I want to experience it...

I want to make the world a better place...

I'm a junior in college...woah.  crazy.
