| More Photos of Tyra BanksIt's not Tyra but she gets that a lot. I was surprised when she sent me a note.
"You have an amazing eye and really know how to make a model comfortable with herself which only aids it better images. I think the photos from when we shot together are going to be some of the best photos i've ever taken. Thank you again"
Thanks for the kind words K!

| "That one's awesome i like that one"Elle and i often go to coffee shops together. We're there for different reasons. Sometimes it's to read a book, sometimes just to hang, sometimes to meet and discuss her/my work, and sometimes to edit photos. For us it's another way to spend time together while being productive in this busy world.
On one of our visits to our local coffee joints she asked if I could help her edit a photo and make it look vintage. So I recorded my steps and made a push button setting for Elle. While I was creating it she said "that one's awesome, i like that one"... so that's what I named the setting. There's currently 3 versions of it that I use personally and for clients.
This photo was taken edited by Elle. "borrowed" from her site :) FYI Those are not real glasses... got it last year for fun when we were walking around.
The same settings put into "action" onto some of Mike & Amy's Wedding photographs from seattle. They had a wedding at an old theatre so it was only appropriate. |

| In Studio
It's a beautiful Saturday and I'm in the studio again shooting. For a while now (with the lack of blogging) I've been focused on doing & creating work. As much as I love weddings I also like doing studio work. I've taken yet another leap of faith and I now have a "real deal holy field" state of the art studio located in Hollywood / LA.
Right now we're between makeup changes so I thought I'd blog a little. Elle is right behind me on her laptop also using the studio wireless connection. I'm so happy that she's with me as I shoot and with me in this point of my life. She's been a big help and today she's taking some video (thanks babe!!!) So with that said, I'll be posting a video of the shoot sometime soon.
Take care, Isaiah

| Wedding: Amy & Mike in WA 2008 starts of with a wedding in Washington. Amy and I started emailing each other January of 2007. We had a few phone conversations and lots of emails but have never met each other. So it was great when we finally got to meet face to face for the first time. It was a blast shooting Amy and Mike's wedding inside a cool vintage theater they rented out for the day. It was right on top of a hill looking over the bay. Nice change of scenery form the LA. What wasn't so great was the security check point at the airports. I have a lot of computer and camera gear that needed to be pulled out and hand scanned inspected. Especially with new flight laws that started January 1st 2008. They were most concerned with my larger battery packs (two Quantum 2x2 and two Canon CP-E4's). Security was really nice. It was just inconvenient to unpack and pack everything. If you're a photographer make sure you read up on your airlines new regulations along with the new TSA's regulations. (Good reading ) Anyone else have recent experience with the new flight regulations? |
