Exactly
one week ago today, I had an interview with someone I'll call "Scary
Man." Scary Man shook my hand and walked away without indicating either
his name or whether I should follow him. At least twice throughout the
course of the interview, Scary Man got up and walked out of the room
while I was answering his questions...I was mid-sentence. Scary Man
prefaced two questions with "I can't ask you this, but..." Scary Man
ended the interview with "you'd better send thank you cards." Scary Man
was scary.
Scary Man called a couple of minutes ago, and they are sending me an offer letter.
I'm scared.
These are the things that keep me from missing Minnesota too much:
- Oreck vacuum commercials...ole Mr. Oreck's from Duluth, you know
- Land o'Lakes butter and half & half...I actually hugged my butter when I was grocery shopping
- Listening to Ceiling's jazz band rehearse (Coach would be proud).
These are the things that I miss the most:
- My family
- My friends (I need an EricOnTuesdays pun)
- My
talk radio...I haven't bonded with any Philly hosts yet, and the
women's talk radio market is virtually non-existent. Thank goodness for
internet streaming and podcasts (why can't I download MinnMonkey onto
my iPod?)
- Cycling classes and hanging out with my premier athletes.
