Newday...
This week was
amazing and so encouraging God has spoken to me more than you can imagine. Not only did God speak to me through words
and pictures but through myself and those around me. God really made me realize how good I am with
people and how they feel very comfortable around me, or that I’m a big time
people person. Now I know why God made
me love people the way I do, SO MUCH. It
really showed me that God is going to use me in that way to help his kingdom grow. It made people feel good to see me so excited
to see them even if I had seen them 5 minutes earlier, I just loved seeing them
and being around them. It was funny
because I cried like a baby when they all left and it made them feel very
loved, sad but happy knowing they were loved and missed.
Yes funny story I also re-found out that I’m a goody “again” by my new friend cool Tom the whole time all
I heard from him was “You’re so sweet” or “You’re so cute” Yes but I’m proud of it!
God also helped me to really connect with the youth from the
states (America). They have truly become some of my closest
friends. I miss them like crazy.
God also showed me I will most likely go to England for
year team it’s not for sure but a definite possibility (I’ll continue praying
about it to see if God changes my heart).
Next year I’m planning on going to Newday again because of how wonderful
it was. The friends I made there I will
never forget.
Another funny story one night we decided to go to the gig
and it was an American screamo band Family Force 5. Well Anna Miles, Jill, Dansare, and I fought
our way close to the front, but there was a mosh-pit right in front of us and
we kept getting pushed into it and couldn’t get out. We would have gotten really hurt if it weren’t
for our England
friends Ben, Rob, and Mark(lead guitarist for Phat Fish), they came over and
stood in front of us to protect us and they kept those guys away. They made me feel so safe so I told Ben and
Rob thanks but Mark was talking to someone.
Of course knowing me I had to say something. So I went over with Jill tapped him on the shoulder
and told him how thankful I was and that he really made us feel safe. Later on that night our friend Rich a.k.a.
Goldie came over and was talking about how his friend was really upset and then
these girls had told him thank you and made his day and had made him feel
really good. It really made me think
about how just a simple thank you can brighten someone’s day so don’t hesitate
to say something nice to someone even if it is just a little thank you!
Something else exciting that happened was the outreaches
which went absolutely great. We went to
two and at the first one it was me, Emma (from the church at the lake), and all
guys, yes that’s right all boys who picked on me the whole time, but actually
they were very nice. It was so much fun
we did gardening well we pulled a lot of weeds but everyone was so
dedicated. Everyone was working so hard
but still having fun, they even pulled a dead tree out of the ground by its
roots, nobody thought they could do it because of how deep it was into the
ground but they did because of their dedication. It was really neat because some people would
just stop to watch us. Yes then the
photographer for their Newspaper came and of course my friend Dan forced me to
be in a picture, so yes I will be in the Derby England Newspaper. I really had
a lot of fun and did a whole lot of work.
The other outreach we did was we went to a giant gorgeous park and did
face painting for kids and a coloring contest which you could win a bible and a
Christian CD and we also handed out flyers for an Alpha course and a free Curry
meal. Two people while in the park got
saved that very day and many people filled out response cards so they could ask
more questions about it and many said they would go to the Alpha course.
Okay well a couple more things we raised about $183,520 it
was amazing and in the night of prayer for salvation 230 youth got saved it was
so great. Yes but the night of healing,
that Adrian Holloway spoke at, I got prayer for my ankle because I had hurt it
a long time ago, I was around 10 years old.
Right as Adrian
started praying it felt like there were bubbles in my ankle, I know weird, and
instantly I jumped up and moved it around and there was absolutely no pain what
so ever. It was a true miracle!
Well that’s it for now I know it’s long but that’s the shortened
version…
