Plan A: Beach
Status: Failure
Plan B: Feast
Status: Success?
Yea.. that sorta sums it up, now for details?.. meh, depends on how lazy i am, after all it is 2:xx am and i've got work soon. Anyways, beach plans were a failure due to a) lack of parking b) weather c) we were all too lazy to actually organize something. Missed out on the Nathans thingamajig tho.. ah well.. Usually around this time i'd throw a bbq, been doing so for the past 3(4?) years, don't worry folks it's still in the works, i think. Back to today, cooking.. and a good amount of it. There's something satisfying about slaving in front of a hot stove for ~3hrs. Last minute plan for a feast @ my place and what not, movies and food with a couple of friends. Finally got to make use of my new kitchen stuff! but i've come to the realization that i need more, lots more...
So what is it that took nearly 3hrs?.. pics will tell =D
Everything made from scratch except for the pasta sauce..
Mashed Potatos, Spaghetti, Meatballs ( baked, not fried tyvm ), Chocolate Chip Cookies

Some sort of a cake/pudding/berry dessert thingy. ( yea yea.. looks better than the stuff i made, she had a cook book with pictures )
And as promised, next time there will be more food and better food... all i ask is you give me more than 5 minutes to decide on what to buy and a wee bit more time to do some shopping for ingredients so i'm not pseudo-iron-chefing it, oh.. that.. and a bigger kitchen!
All in all a good day, rented movies, food, fireworks on tv (meh), me not taking part in alcoholic shennanigans ( alcohol free for over a month ) and a few unexpected uh.. happenings which are for me to ponder over  |
