| Well, life is going good. First off, I'm not in Myrtle Beach anymore. Those of you who I have talked to in the last month know that. November went by quickly. There was something going on each weekend it seemed. One weekend, I spent much time in a gymnasium keeping books for a couple of basketball teams and watching a few other games. That was a fun weekend.
Last weekend was a lot of fun. I got to see and spend a lot of time with quite a few good friends from camp. We spent the weekend playing volleyball, basketball, board games, and floor hockey. (I don't play floor hockey, but it was fun watching.) It was the best weekend that I've had in a while. This week has been a downer cause I miss everyone. I'm not gonna say much more about it. However, I need to say that I don't hate the discussion because I hate the discussion. I hate the discussion because there is never any resolution between the two point of views. For all those who understand what I am talking about, great. The rest of you, I am not explaining it.
This weekend, my mom and brothers are out of town. So, my dad and I are going out to eat tonight. We're going to this Japanese restaurant. I've never been before. I'm all excited to watch them cook the food in front of us and everything that's involved with that.
Well, I hope everyone has a great day. Bye.
| Hi to everyone from Myrtle Beach. My family and 2 other families from my church came down here for a week. We got here on Saturday, and we leave tomorrow. It's been a great trip. We went to the BIGGEST church that I have ever seen. We got a private tour after the service. I mean they had like a drumset that was worth like $12,000.
On Monday, my family and Jut went to the Carolina Opry. My family has gone every time that we come down here. The show was incredible. There was a guy who played the piano. He has never had a lesson and can't read music. He has a phonographic memory. I picked up his cd. My mom, brother, and I are going to the show tonight. This particular show is called Good Vibrations.
I've gone mini-golfing, to my favorite restaurant, and shopping. There is an outlet center that has a bunch of stores. My favorite store was the Speedo store. I got a new bathing suit and flip flops.
Most of the days, we have gone swimming in the pool area and in the ocean. The tropical storm has been going through yesterday and today. I am ever so thankful that it isn't a hurricane. I've been ever thankful so that our condo has a parking garage.
Have a great weekend everybody.
| Life has been fun these last few weeks. I've been getting new students and old set up for the year. That's finally coming along.
The biggest news is that I got a job. Out of the blue, the administrator of TTCA called me and asked me to teach choir in addition to band. I had exactly 1 week to get ready for the school year. That slightly panicked me, but the rest of it has been fun. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the kids.
Let's see; what else? I 've been working the retreats at camp. So far, there has been the Ladies retreat and the Men's retreat. This weekend is the Teen retreat. I am really looking forward to seeing some of the people who are coming to work this retreat.
Tonight, I went to the camp meeting at Tuscarora tonight. I got lost. That's always fun. For the record, anyone giving me directions needs to be very specific. No verbal commands. Printed instructions. This is not the first time that I have gotten lost. My dad will never let me forget it.
| I'm trying this blog thing again. I figure after 8 months of not updating, I should have something to say. Winter and spring were fun. I taught students and cleaned my church.
Summer at Lamoka was wonderful. It was a big change for me. I went from being a counsellor to being support staff. After a couple of weeks of adjusting, it turned out to being the biggest blessing. I got to know both counsellors and support staff. It was very encouraging. I must say I miss y'all.
I finally figured out how to put the pictures of the summer on cd. I know a few people wanted them. However, I can't remember who wanted them. So, if I forget you, I apologize. I should have written it down.
The most exciting thing for me happened. It might not seem very exciting to some, but it is to me. I learned how to drive STANDARD. Now this is a result of approximately 3 years of begging different people to teach me. I managed to do fairly well. Now I just need to practice.
Well, that's enough updating for now. Maybe I'll update before the next 8 months are up.
