Just an interesting story that I had to share with you. I just got off the phone with my wonderful boyfriend. Well last night he went out drinking with one of his former fraternity brothers Micah who was a swimmer with me and my former RA. Just some quick background when I was ONU I really wasn't out to too many people and that was mainly my senior year. So Jared ends up telling Micah that I am his boyfriend. I wish I could have been there for his response - "So he has finally come out." I guess I wasn't as straight acting as I thought I was (LOL). Micah did tell Jared he thought I was a good guy and sometime Jared and I are going on a double date with Micah and his girlfriend. I am actually excited about it.

I forgot another thing that was great about last weekend. While at Masque I got to see Jessica Diamond perform. I remember her from the time Shawn and I went to Pipeline. It brought back a lot of memories. Speaking of Shawn, he is coming to visit me this weekend and we are planning on going to Ikea in Michigan. This means that the Jared (current boyfriend) is going to be meeting the Shawn (ex-boyfriend). I hope it goes well, I have never had a current boyfriend meet and ex-boyfriend. I have already thought of two possible extremes in how it will work out: Bad - They hate each other and Jared will not want me to have any contact with him or the opposite extreme One Word - Threesome (LOL). Either I think is very very unlikely, I think and hope it will be somewhere in the middle.

I just had a great weekend with Jared. Jared had to go down to Dayton and dogsit for his parents so I went and stayed the weekend with him at their place. I also got to meet his two dogs Daisy and Duke. Friday night we just ordered pizza, watched the Simple Live, and played/made-out on his trampoline. Saturday we went out to lunch at O'Charley's (I finally got to use the last part of my gift card since there are none in Toledo). Then we went shopping at the Dayton mall and looked at laptops at circuit city, best buy, and compusa. We then went back to his parent's and played some Mario Kart 64. I thought I was decent at that game, but got my ass kicked on it (I have since hooked my N64 up so I can get some practice).

We then went out to this totally kick-ass gay club in Dayton called Masque. It has only been open for about a year and a half and so much fun. It has at least two stories with the second floor being techno music and the first having a bar with drag shows and very current hip hop music (Kelis - Bossy, Beyounce - Deja Vu, Pussycat Dolls - Buttons, etc...) It was so funny seeing all the little gay white boys trying to dance all ghetto to Bossy. Jared could pull it off because he has a 300lb black woman trapped inside of him. Masque makes all the bars in Toledo look like a Eastern European country - all the American dance music is a few years behind.

On Sunday we meet my friend Andrew in Middletown and had lunch at Applebees. I haven't seen Andrew since November and it was good seeing him again. It was also good letting Jared meet one of my friends since I don't have too many in toledo and most are either in Bloomington still or have since moved ( Dorothy to Atlanta then Seattle and Julie now in Minnesota). It was such a great weekend.

It has been way too long since I've last updated. There has been some great things happening in my life since I've last updated. Dennis and I are no longer seeing each other. I decided to end things when there was a two week stretch where he didn't call me at all. Not a big deal because shortly after that I started seeing a very great guy. We've talked online for over a year but never met. The only reason that we did talk was that he goes to Ohio Northern (5th year pharmacy major) and that is my alma mater. Well about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday we were talking online and neither of us had any plans so he invited me down to Ada to go drinking at the Reagle Beagle. Since it was only an hour away I decided to go. Well, we had dinner at padrone's (best bread sticks ever) then watched a movie and spent a few hours at the Beagle. I can still throw back the beers (go me!). Well we really clicked and I spent the night with him and let's just say he is quite a good kisser. We've seen each other every weekend since then and talk on the phone very regularly. And now he is officially my boyfriend (only been 2 years since the last one). He is 22, very cute, very tall (6'4") and has dark hair (my favorite).

Castro's niece behind revolution in sexual politics

HAVANA, Cuba (Reuters) -- Mariela Castro is leading a Cuban revolution less well-known than her Uncle Fidel's -- one in favor of sexual tolerance within the island's macho society.

Castro, 43, is leading the charge from her government-funded National Center for Sex Education, based in an old Havana mansion.

As director of the group, she promoted a soap opera that scandalized many Cubans in March by sympathetically depicting bisexuality. The controversial show depicted, among other story lines, the life of a construction worker who leaves his wife and children for the man next door.

Now President Castro's niece is pushing for passage of a law that would give transsexuals free sex-change operations and hormonal therapy in addition to granting them new identification documents with their changed gender.

A draft bill was presented to parliament last year and was well-received, she said. It is expected to come up for a vote in December.

If approved, it would make Cuba the most liberal nation in Latin America on gender issues.

Castro says her goal is to bring the revolution her uncle and her father, Defense Minister Raul Castro, fought 47 years ago to the terrain of sexuality. Her group has also campaigned for better AIDS prevention as well as acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality and transvestites.

"I want to bring the revolution's humanity to those aspects of life that it hasn't reached because of old prejudices," she told Reuters.

Much has changed, she says, since the 1960s when homosexuals were sent to work camps, or the 1970s when gay men and women were denied certain jobs as "ideological deviants."

"None of that exists anymore," she said. "But that is not to say the same for homophobic attitudes."

Cuba eliminated the crime of sodomy in 1979. Cuba is also a country where abortion is a constitutional right and divorce a simple procedure.

A powerful family

Mariela Castro says she isn't a leader, but simply part of a movement for greater tolerance.

Nevertheless, she admits her access to the two most powerful figures in the country has helped her cause.

Castro says she has the support of her 75-year-old father, who is second in charge of the all-powerful Communist party and as first vice president in line to succeed Fidel.

"Of course, I talk with my father whenever I have the chance. He is one of those in the party that supports our work. He thinks it is useful, good, just," she said.

Castro sees her uncle less often.

"Fidel is very sensitive to these issues," she said. "He is a pensive man and when the subject is one of justice it gets his attention. He asks for more information, more elements to consider."

Castro sees herself as continuing the work of her mother, Vilma Espin, head of the Cuban Women's Federation for the last 45 years. Eighty-seven percent of the island's women are members.

Espin, considered one of the most influential personalities of the Cuban revolution, is the originator of the Cuban family code adopted in 1975, which calls on men to share household chores and child care.

Castro said many people ask her if she plans to push legalization of gay marriages.

"We do not know what we will propose. It depends on what we identify as homosexuals' and lesbians' main needs," Castro said.

"Marriage is not as important in Cuba as in other more Catholic countries. Here consensual pairing is more important," she said, "What matters is love."

Judson Laipply isn't afraid to bust a move.

Laipply, a 30-year-old comedian/motivational speaker from Cleveland, is -- as he puts it -- That Guy at the wedding "out there dancing with everybody and having fun."

Now, he's cutting a rug as the It Boy of the Internet.

Laipply's video clip, "Evolution of Dance," taped at one of his speaking engagements, has been viewed more than 18 million times on the video Web site YouTube since April. In the clip, his combination of a nerdy-guy persona and his hot dance steps -- he covers everything from Elvis's 1950s hip-bopping to today's flashy hip-hop moves -- makes for a hilarious six minutes.

As a self-described "inspirational comedian," Laipply blends motivational speaking with comedy to "No. 1, make them laugh; No. 2, make them think." Four years ago, he began closing many of his appearances at colleges, high schools and corporations with the unusual dance medley, which became a crowd favorite.

"I sat down one day and mixed some music, and came up" with the original version of the dance, he told The Associated Press in a recent interview.

"I went out and did it once, and it went over really well, and I thought, 'This is hilarious,' " he recalls.

After friends asked him to post a clip of it on his Myspace.com page, Laipply obliged, also uploading it onto YouTube.com, which allows users to post videos for sharing. It now holds the record as that site's most-viewed video. The television world has taken notice -- Tuesday, he was scheduled to perform a shorter version on NBC's "Today" show.

How does he explain all the dance fever?

"It's one of those things where no matter how old you are, you almost can always find something within (the video) that resonates with you," Laipply said. "I have e-mails from families who've said, 'I was watching it, I'm 65, my daughter was watching it, her daughter was watching it and we were all laughing and loving it.' "

In the video, Laipply -- sporting a bright "Orange Crush" T-shirt tucked into blue jeans -- gyrates to Elvis' "Hound Dog," dusts off the stiff-limbed robot routine for Styx's "Mr. Roboto" and shimmies to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This." He shakes his rump to Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" and snakes his neck to the Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian."

He also channels John Travolta in "Grease," does the "Y.M.C.A," kung fu fights and break dances. And that's only part of the act.

Laipply, whose only formal dance training was a one-year stint in his high school's show choir, has received much feedback from fans, some wanting to book him for weddings and a few even proposing marriage. ("Yes I am single, I am straight, and I will not marry anyone who asks over e-mail," he jokes on his Web site.)

For now, he's enjoying all the adulation, but said he has "zero expectations" for his career and doesn't count on overnight becoming a celebrity speaker -- say, like self-help guru Tony Robbins.

"Anything that comes out of this to me is a bonus, and I will appreciate it and take it for all that's it's worth," he said. "I'm not saying I won't try to use it to my advantage, but I don't have the expectation that I'm going to turn it into something else."

He is, however, working on a new video, "Evolution of Dance Revisited," which he plans to release in the next few months. "The Hustle will be in there, the Cha-Cha Slide, the Electric Slide, perhaps a few more (music-video) dances like, 'Hey Mickey,' 'Maniac' or Men Without Hats' '(The) Safety Dance,' " he said.

Laipply's schtick not only has attracted a cross-generational audience, but it also has reconnected him with buddies from his past.

"The neatest thing is that a lot of long-lost friends have appeared because they're watching this video, and they're going, 'Oh my god, this is Jud! I went to high school with him!' "

For the most part I had a good weekend. I spent most of Friday night just talking online and catching up on BHS class of '99 gossip. Saturday I went to Sam's Club and bought some cups for Jello shot and while I was there they had a great deal on He-Man Season 1 Volumes 1 and 2 together for 39 dollars (usually on amazon.com each is about 40). Brian's party was pretty good for the most part. I made Cherry, Lime and Cherry-Lime jello shots and a bottle of Riesling. The only thing I really drank was my wine (had almost the whole bottle myself). It was actually a really good wine. I wasn't sure since I only bought it because it had a really cool cobalt blue bottle. I also looked really hot as well I was so impressed. I had on a tight black button-down shirt (Express 1MX) and my new gap khakis (I still got it; more on that later).

The great part of the night was seeing K Dick again (it's been almost a year). I'll probably see her in two weeks at the 5th annual White Trash Bash in Ada. While I was there I also managed to get a phone number (his name is KC (he offered it)) Not sure where that will go but he liked the CD I brought to the party (Thrive Mix Volume 2 by Vic Latino). He really liked Britney Spears - And Then We Kiss. Later in the night when the party had died down a little it was only 5 guys there. Brian and I were the young guys there and the others were 30 and over. The over 30 crowd was talking amongst themselves and Brian and I were dancing a little and he said they aren't even paying any attention to us. So I told him I would solve the problem and unbuttoned and took my shirt off and eventually unbuckle my pants. Shortly after that I finally heard can you repeat that I was a little distract (refering to me). I thought it was pretty fun and loved that I got the desired affect (I am such a cock tease).

At about 3 the party was pretty much dead and I decide to leave and take my empty wine bottle (I am completely sober I hadn't had anything to drink in a few hours). As I was walking and almost to my car a police car drives by. So I just throw the bottle in my car and call Brian to have him buzz me back into his place. I could picture in my head me driving off and 10 seconds later I see lights and sirens from the police officer driving by and seeing me carrying a wine bottle. I knew I would be fine to drive and wasn't drunk but didn't want to deal with the police so I decided to just go back and hang out at Brian's a little longer.

At the same time Brian's new gay neighbors (gay couple) stop by. This is where the porn star thing comes up. Turns out one is a porn star (if you count jacking off for guys on a webcam as being a porn star). While his boyfriend was not around he told me I was hot (yay me, I still got it). Then later on he grabs my ass then tells me not to tell his boyfriend (I wouldn't because I don't want to start drama). What gives with porn starts being attracted to me this is like the third one. I think soon I will do an entry about the types of guys that are usually attracted to me (both good and bad).

Bonus: Guy who this guy is in the pictures. I was completely surprised about who he is.
