Funny how things work out!

Well next week I'm 18...crazy...things are starting to come together for me though, I still wish it was my 17th birthday again, but whatev.

I'm starting to feel like I'm growing up, a little...have a job thingy soon, and I'm getting wedding gigs here and there...responsibilty's comin quick.

Right now I have to say I'm pretty content , so hopefully things will continue to go nice and easy!

I'm all in...

Well I just got back from Resurrection, and I feel like a completely different person.

I've been extremely unhappy with my life lately, filled with great amounts of pressure from everyone around me for various different reasons, and in turn I have not been giving time to God.....

This weekend I re-connected with God, I changed...I feel like for the first time in my life I know what I'm supposed to do with my life. With pressures from everyone around me to make a choice of what I'm going to be "when I grow up" ...

God let me know this weekend that He has something in store for me, and I just need to trust in Him. I have this feeling in me that cannot be described.... I just know God is with me and ready for me to follow

I'm ready for God to use me to reach others, no matter where it may be.

God is so amazing in every little aspect of my life, I am so fortunate to be in a God-loving family, have best friends who are true Christians that hold me accountable.I am so thankful for the gift and passion for music God has blessed me with and for all the opportunities He has given me to share is message with others in song.

Yes, I'm still alive!

Wow, I almost forgot about this thing! A bunch of things have happened since I last wrote this summer, some good, some bad. My uncel Fred passed away recently, and he was truly the only grandfather I knew, even if we really weren't related, so I'll definately be spending quite a bit of time with my Aunt Dollie. I'm so glad I know he's in heaven though, it seems to make things easier, and I tend to just remember him whenever I listen to Frank Sinatra or something....lol he was such a classy man, and always enjoyed the finer things in life, an he especially loved it when I would dress up.

On a lighter note, I'm getting my first car at the end of the month, a new black Honda Accord with tan interior, so it's basically my Christmas, kwanza, birthday, president's day, etc. gifts for the next five years...haha! Things have been tough in school, but my hard work has been paying off, like Homecoming Queen, Junior Court Queen, All-East, All-State, Beta, and all that good college application stuff... lol Seeing that the work pays off, makes me want to keep on doing my best, even when it's hard.

Well we're getting ready for thanksgiving, and aside from my family, we have 4 Korean students from King spending Thanksgiving with us, so that should be really exciting!!

Summertime!!

Well school's almost finished.....I'm soooo excited!!

It seems like with the beginning of each new summer, my year starts fresh....forget New Year's.....summer is the beginning for me, one more year of school is finished and I'm looking forward to driving, hanging out with Marie as much as possible, and I guess I do have to find a job, but that's okay! Marie turns sweet 16 this Saturday and I'm really happy for her...she has been my best friend ever since kindergarten, and I guess it's neat because we both know we'll be there for each other no matter what, some people you worry about losing touch with, but Marie and I just know we'll be there....it's really reassuring!

This summer I will find a job.....to my parent's pleasure , don't get me wrong I love working, but I just really want a job where I will get to interact with other people and hopefully have the opportunity to brighten their day!

My parents are planning on taking me to Carthage TN so hopefully I will be able to find paperwork and prove that I am 1/4 Cherokee Indian...so I can get all the benefits, and hey then I can pull the 'race card' haha....you never know when you might need to use that! ha!

May flowers!!

Well school is almost over...pretty exciting!! The military ball is Saturday, and I'm responsible for a bunch of different things, so once that's over I'll be pretty much chillaxing before school ends! I've lost the 20 pounds I ended up gaining in the winter, so that's really great since summer is coming up and all....not that eating sweets and watching movies all the time isn't fun, but I like being healthy more, also it makes dessert more special if you don't have it 3+ times a day!

Everyone is breaking up with their significant others for the summer...which I think is ridiculous bc all that means is you truly didn't even care for each other in the 1st place but were just using each other for social status, weekend outtings...etc.... I'm pretty content being single and on my own I guess bc I'm just really independant, and I haven't really found anyone that has the same interests and beliefs that I do, afterall I think a boyfriend should be like a best friend that you can have loads of fun with and act stupid and they don't even care, but join in the fun....the only time I long for a boyfriend is when I watch those sappy but sweet chick flciks like a best friend's wedding, music and lyrics....but other than that I'm pretty happy having a bunch of friends to hang out with!

....Can't wait for school to be out! :D
