| Now tell me your favorite musical instrument and include a detailed, and I mean detailed, explanation of why you enjoy it so. Bonus points for whoever thoroughly enjoys a good marimba. And p.s., I’m keeping track of people’s comments and rating them on a point system I created. So comment well, you’ll never know how many points you’ll get and what kind of prizes will result from it. I’ll post a leader board soon…. | | |

| - What if his People Prayed? Well it's only about a few hours until my 18th birthday! Duff, Carly, and I are now legal! (well Duff's like 37, so he's been legal for awhile.......) It's not that exciting, i won't go buy tobacco or lottery tickets, but it's always fun to turn a year older!
So we have a football game to play at tomorrow and two competitions on Sat. All the blisters on my hands are just screaming for joy.......not a lot of fun. But i'll be seeing Rachel all of that time so i guess i shouldn't complain. I've been spending a lot of time with her lately and it's unbelievable. Monday, we went to the grocery and then came home and had staring contests all night. Sounds boring and lame, but I love all the little things we get to do with each other. We can do anything, and she'll make it so fun for us. I love it. Tuesday was one month for us. Seeing that I have little free time, i didn't take her out anywhere nice, but we did cook a nice dinner at her place and just spent the whole night talking. I feel bad that i'm not able to take her out right now, cause she deserves the absolute best, but at least we get time together. I had a blast anyways. It's so nice, being this happy. I wasn't a sad person before she came into my life, but i never felt this happy. It's amazing...I recommend that everybody gets a sweet and caring, funny, intelligent, and incredibly drop-dead gorgeous significant other...
So Brad, Kristen, Liz, and I are all partners for a big project in BIO II. It will be lots of fun. I can't wait til Mrs. Kehler trusts (is forced) to give Brad and I live specimens to work on! (AHAHAHAH!!!!- evil laugh). I don't know what our project will be, but it will be exciting. We wanted to isolate the gene for growing fur, and then transplanting it into jellyfish. We would then create our own micro army of initially sweet and cute furry animals. They will attract and befriend our unsuspecting enemies with their extreme cuteness and cuddlyness, and then will turn and attack them with their body-numbing electricity, but Mrs. Kehler shot that proposal down. We have to think of a new idea.
So that's it for now. I will be back soon with band and birthday updates! Can't wait to open presents/ money!
"What if the armies of the Lord, picked up and dusted off their swords? Vowed to set the captives free, and not let satan have one more? What if the church, for heaven's sake, finally stepped up to the plate? Took a stand upon God's promise, and stormed hell's rusty gates? What if his people prayed?"
"And what would happen if we prayed, for those raised up to lead the way? Then maybe kids in schools could pray, and unborn children see the light of day. What if the life that we pursue, came from a hunger for the truth? What if the family turned to Jesus, and stopped asking Oprah what to do? What if his people prayed? -Casting Crowns | | |
| - I'm so buying this when it comes out Tues! So it's Sunday afternoon, and I'm happy. Church was fun and informative. Colt's won, which is always good. I don't have to work tonight. And I have very little homework I have to catch up on tonight! I think I'll just end up chilling out, watching a moive, and seeing Rachel at work! All things considered, tonight will be unbelievable and I'm so excited, I don't get lots of nights like this!
Yesterday was alright. The band didn't do so hot, we placed 2nd. We didn't have a very good show, but that's ok, we'll beat Northview later in the year when its more important. Battery didn't have a very good show either. I don't know what's going on, we practice horribly early in the week, and then improve like crazy on Thurs. and Fri.; contest comes, and we lose everything we had been working on. It frustrates me, but things will change. I gonna put on my big boy pants and talk to Mr. Sutton. We aren't getting certain things we need to improve so we're gonna chat. I don't want the battery to be the part of the band that stops us from winning State. But the way Mr. Sutton runs us, there's no way we're going to improve like we should, and we won't become a State Championship drum line (I sound tough in this entry, I kinda like it). I'll show him what's up, fo' sheezie.
After the contest, Rachel (hottie), Spoon (hottie too), Evan (even more hottie), and I went to McDonalds. It was lots of fun. Evan and I acting like losers, but we laughed a lot. It was a nice cap for the night; any time with her is incredible.
On another sad band note, Matt Snyder, our really cool percussion instructor, might not be doing winter percussion with us this year, which sucks. He's been at Greenwood for like 4 or 5 years now, and we keep getting better. We won State last year. He's an awesome guy and we all have a lot of fun with him, but he said he might not be back. This makes me sad, cause i love winter percussion even more than i love marching band. So i don't know what will happen, but I hope he'll be back. If not, he's got his own independent group that performs at contests like ours, and I might think about joining that. It's based a few hours away and would be very time-consuming, but it would be lots of fun.
I'm such a nerd. I'm done with my entry and all i've talked about is band. I'm sorry if anyone actually read this.
