I've been meaning to write about our amazing vacation, but as you'll see I've been busy since our return home:
I am happy to announce the search is finally over. I have accepted a position with Daystar Christian TV Network. It's an awesome company with an interesting assortment of ministry people and tv people, working together to bring God's word to the world. Daystar broadcasts nationwide, plus 13 foreign countries. For more info on the company, and to see if you can watch, check
www.daystar.com(Also, they're totally cool with me continuing to be the "Backup Buster" for CH 5.)
While I know that working for a religious company will have some unique challenges, I figure it's gotta be more uplifting than promoting news (and no sweeps!).

Besides, Daystar has 3 things every tv station needs: 1 - their own prayer department, 2 - a Starbucks in the building, and 3 - the diet Coke machine takes credit cards! I'm in heaven.
The building is located 11 miles from my house, which is much handier than the jobs I turned down in Kansas City, MO and Portland, Maine. I get to remain a Texan!
My work email should be set up in a day or two so I'll send out my contact info soon. Thanks so much to all for the support, references, suggestions and/or advice. This time off has been a blessing to me and the family, and now the new job has come at just the right time. God knows what we need, even when we're too busy or stubborn to pay attention.
Here's an interesting thought for the day:
You needn't worry. There is time. You have all the time in the world. You preceded time and you will exist beyond it. Age is irrelevant; more meaningless than a number. Forever, (insert your name), you have FOREVER. There is no dream you now have that you will not manifest. There is no challenge you now face that you will not crush and dispose of. There is no point in spending one more second of your awesome, amazing life, thinking anything to the contrary.
