| I feel as if my entries of late have been slightly sub-par. As kick ass as the hurricane door was, it's time to move on.
So a few days ago I stumbled across a new idea that occured to me when arguing with a complete moron. This was no ordinary moron by the way. He wasn't stupid in the sense that he couldn't do simple arithmetic, but more he was stupid in the sense that he'll get drunk and high and any other form of mind numbness by himself because he thinks it's cool. But don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure he still can't do simple arithmetic. But all that's beside the point. He was arguing with me about how the country should be run. Now I'm no expert at politics but I'm willing to bet I knew a fair bit more then he did. But yet again what we were arguing over is still beside the point. The thing that granted me this epiphany of wisdom and knowledge was that the argument was really started by the fact that he had no idea what I was saying. As in he didn't understand my big people talk. As in he's never seen a dictionary. Like I said; moron.
Perhaps if Bush didn't feel so compelled to show off his strength of arms because the other kids at the U.N. used words he didn't understand, peace would be more achievable. But Sadam just had to go and use a better, more extensive vocabulary in his second language then Bush, who somehow went to, what was it, Yale.
But again I'm going off topic. This 'epiphany' of mine was that world issues, disruptions, wars, etc., are caused not through lack of communication, but through difference in intelligence. Some of you say, "No shit", but the answer to the world's problems is so clear. Now of course I don't believe this could, would, or should happen, but everyone must be on the same level of thinking, right? Well seeing as we can't make everyone smarter, we need to dumb it down. I know you've probably heard of dumbing it down before, but did you ever think of why you need to? It's cause someone out there won't understand, and when people don't understand they don't cooperate and without cooperation there is conflict.
So there you have it folks, to solve your everyday quarrels that you so wish to avoid, dumb it down. If you ever wish to just let someone have it, go ahead. But don't constantly correct someone in daily/friendly conversation. Use your best judgement on how to make yourself stupider. See, I'm already trying. |
