| SORRY SORRY!!!!
I know I haven't updated this thing in forever...but I'm back at home now and I hardly ever get on the internet. I will try to do better. But pretty much my life is going well right now. I just back from a cruise in the Eastern Caribbean, which was amazing. We went to San Juan Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Nassua: Bahamas. :)
Now that I'm back in the real world. I just started taking Chemistry at IUK...I have that everyone MOnday, Wednesday, and then every other Friday...from 9:00-11:45 (lecture) and 1:00-3:30 (lab) and pretty sure that science is my least favorite subject; hence the reason I have put off taking it this long.
I also recently (last night) went and say Amityville Horror, which is creepy. Pretty sure that I lost feeling in my hand becasue I was squeezing Maggie's so hard and I couldn't get any closer to Elizabeth. It is creepy!!!
That's about all the new information I have for you right now. I promise I will try to do better about this updating thing!!!
| So....today I found out where I will be student teaching...It's at Northwestern. That is so perfect for me. I will be like 5-7 minutes away. I also found out that I will be teaching 6th grade, which was a bit disappointing because my heart is in kindergarten, but the good part is that I have been working with 6th grade this semester and I have found that they are actually a good group to work with. Plus I have all of my materials and lessons from this semester which will help me have a jump start.
Well today is beautiful...be sure to get out there and enjoy it!!
| So I really am loving this beautiful/warm weather. It's the greatest. This weekend was really fun because 1. I went rollerskating Friday night with Jon Cole...how fun is that & 2. I went to Shawna's baby shower on Saturday. Those were some great times. It really makes me miss home and just living in a house, but I'm almost done at big IWU (only 9 days left of class & 2 days of finals)
Here's some more news for you ...this is great news. My volleyball team has yet to win a game. Tonight we lost in 2 games...like we always do. In fact, since I've been playing on teams at IWU, I have never won a game. Isn't that sad. We've got one more chance to win...Thursday night. Make sure you all wish us luck!!!
| Ok,
So this week has gone so fast. I can't believe that it is already Thursday night. This week definitely had it's great moments...like the beautiful warm days. I love it because not only are they wonderful, but it's like campus comes to life. For the first time since Fall, it seems like we have a student body of more than those who live in my dorm....more specifically my floor.
This week was one of my friends birthdays at IWU. She was turning 21, so we decided we would go into Kokomo to eat because we all know Marion has nothing to offer. We decided to go to Olive Garden, which is always a great choice. When we got their, we were told their was a 30-45 minutes wait, no big deal because there was 7 of us. Well we got sat pretty quickly, but it took seriously forever to get our orders in. And the most bizarre part of the story is it was not crowded at all. Well we finally got our drinks and and seriously had to wait like 15 minutes for our salad and then even longer for our breadsticks. We had finished our salads, well everyone accept for me because for those of you who have been to Olive Garden with me know that this girl does not stop eating the salad (it's my favorite part!) We sat there for a while waiting for our food to get there. Finally they brought out 5 of our dinners. That's right 2 girls without food. We finished our meals (which were cold and burnt) before the other 2 girls got their food!! The manager told us she was going to take their meals off of the bill and asked if there was anything else she could do. We all just sat there quietly...finally I spoke up..and then everyone shared about how terrible the food was. The manager ended up taking care of the entire bill. That's right Olive Garden for free. I must say that although the food & service was terrible, they really took care of us!! We seriously were at Olive Garden from like 6-8.
Well that is about all I have to say for now....I really am going to try to get better at this updating my postings.
| So I haven't done this in a while because I'm pretty sure that I don't know what I'm doing. But I just want to say that it is April and I"m pretty excited because only 15 more days of class!!! | | |
