Wow... It's been more then a year then I last wrote an entry. And my last entry was from D-Camp: Reconnect. This entry is for Impact: Transformer.

This year wasn't anything special besides that this year was actually at a camp site [Forest Glen] instead of Blinn College. The speaker, Jason Crandell, wasn't anything special. He wasn't really High School material. His messages were basically for new believers. But one message did stand out to me.

Jason was like, "I don't want a Jesus that I think I can beat up."
I guess I had this idea of a Jesus that I think everybody does. Long haired, Bearded, White clothed guy. But I learned that I couldn't be any more wrong. The Bible says that He is this guy, with flaming eyes, swords coming out of his mouth, and a TATTOO.

The Rider On The White Horse
"11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. His has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on the white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will ruke them with an iron scepter." He treads the winpress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has his name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

How cool is that? To me that is amazing. That the Jesus that the world portrays is like this "Hippie" Jesus. Thats just all loving, and bearded with long hair. But the Jesus the Bible portrays is this All Mighty, Strong, and Scary.

Then he took a quick turn and just changed it around. He said "This All Mighty, Scary God, died for our sin."

Just got back from Discovery Camp 2006 [w00t!]

This year is definitely something to remember. First of all before I start, I would like to thank Lawrence and Grace for being our parents for our family, and especially Lawrence for buying us those things. Second of all, I would like for yall to pray for Sam and that he has a speedy recovery and no sever damages to his head. Lastly, I would like to thank Jason Hess for being our speaker this year, I swear.. every year [well.. the 2 years I've gone.] ... the speaker gets better. =P

My sister, Christine Ko/the tea pot, was the only one thinking on the team cheer and this is how it turned out...:

So. To what happened last night, Friday, July 28th. Jason was talking about Jesus' crucifixion and of course Reconnecting with God, and it was at that moment that I broke down. Jason asked if you wanted to make a decision or wanna re-dedicate your life to Christ then go with your counselor and go talk to them. I couldn't stop crying. before and after..[this is what hit me the most] Me, and my bro's, Wei-Shao and Stephen, walked with Laurence and prayed. He prayed for me and that I feel i always need Him because I've been feeling lately that i DON'T need Him to  get through the day. God has just blessed me and my friends with a great counselour like Lawrence.

The next day, we were talking to each other during worship because Jason had told us to think of someone to pray for and go talk to that person about it. And so i went up to abunch of different people. Then [this is what hit me the second most] Dorcas said "you look really happy." I felt happy because i felt changed from the previous night.

This year at camp was amazing. I made lots of new friends that I hope I can keep. Like Jerry, Wei-Shao, Shelby, Stephen, Amy, Amy, [i know i typed it twice] Christine, and too many more to name. I really am gonna miss this year..  

Discovery to Impact. i wonder if its the same....

today was the July 4th picnic at church today. fun fun fun. played in the rain. thats really it. didn't really play.. just walked casually like it was a sunny day. when we stopped walking in the rain, we were soaked. so then we got abunch of people and sat in this little circle thingy and talked about things in our life. pretty sweet. ah.. when these days go away i will miss them so freakin' much.

this week was VBS. my dad and Mr. Gaw we're our teachers. pretty awesome. my dad shared his life story and such. Tomorrow during service the whole VBS community will be performing during service.

30 HOUR FAMINE.

This years 30HF was amazing. 30 hours of no food, experiencing just a little part of what the kids in Africa go through every day. and this year, showed me how we take things for granted.

This year we had "Tribes" or families. and that was basically our small group. and Mary Moon, Rachel Perez, Ashley Kwan, Thomas Liu, Eric Lee, Avina Nguyen and I were all one tribe, called the Purko Tribe.

Thomas and my character was named Okoth. His discription:

I am 14 years old.
I live with my mother, father, and two sisters
I am training to be a Maasai warrior.
I herd goats to help out my parents.
I never went to School
Health Status:
I am hungry. I have not eaten more than scraps for several days. I cannot remember the last time I had a meal. Being hungry makes me tire easily.
Disability Instructions:
During all activities you must wear a heavy backpack. This extra weight represents how weary and tired you feel all the time because you are hungry.

Thats who i was.

Uganda children. Also called "Invisible Children" are not realized in the things that go on around there. A person that was interviewed in the movie said "Everyone knows about September 11, but no one knows about us." Thats just sad. and there's a group called the L.R.A. who capture little kids from ages 5-6 so they can train them to kill, and to send them into schools to kill and to "recruit" other children. They choose this age because children of ages 5-6 are small enough to sneak into schools, but large enough to carry wepons. This is sad, we complain how bad our lives are! look at them. they have to hid during nighttime, in fear of getting captured and sent into the dessert. and at night. they sleep in bus stops. packed tightly. sleeping, litterally, on top of each other.

so before the next time you say "oh, my life sucks. blah blah blah" think of Uganda, and what they go through daily.

30 Hour Famine was amazing this year, i learned alot.

i don't know how to discribe this feeling. thing seem to move faster when im with you. my heart beats faster when i see you. it beats even faster when i hug you. my world seems fine, all my problems seem to dissapear. the times im with you i never want to end. all the times i see you i store in my memory. though i forget alot of stuff. i saw a picture today. with her and some guy.. made me sad. made me WISH that i was that guy. just to be held by her like that. . the times im with you i will never forget. i've never realized this feeling i've had for you up until just awhile ago.

could this be love?

she doesn't seem to feel the same way that i feel for her. i flirt. she laughs. things just don't seem to go my way. i have free time, she's busy. she has free time, im busy. maybe things weren't supposed to be. maybe they were. things just come to my mind when i talk to you. usually im a bumbling fool thats always quite and kept to myself. but when im with you things just come out. you bring out the best in me.
*sigh* things just never go my way.

some would call me a fool. some would call me stupid. some would even advise me that this is just a fling and not to do anything. but i truly don't think that this is a fling. i feel something for her. i've never felt like THIS before. oh man.. if you could feel what im feeling right now then... boy.. you'd be as confused as i am right now. this is truly how much of a fool i am.

my heart races for you. competition that has a better chance. competition that has known you for the longest time. competition that actually know you personally. whatever the cost. i will not give up on this, this time. last time..... i was left a mess... heh. JW...

she has just signed on... 12:31. [i don't know what that has to do with anything, but... she has. i think im gonna talk to her.]
