| well this weekend was fun.. friday night i was up till 7:30 in the morning at the shawnee mission hospital awaiting my nephew to be born. My sister had him around a quarter to five, and he is the cutest little baby boy that i have ever seen. His full name is Emmitt Owen Jones Brooks, which i know is long, but under certain circumstances it had to be done. I was so excited to hold him in the delivery room. To me it was a life changing experience. Holding a human being that only weighs six pounds was somethin else let me tell ya. Well anyways, i am glad it is the weekend and i look forward to spending more time with my nephew. I hope everyone has a good weekend! | | |
| Well this summer has been great, but as they say, all great things must come to an end. I guess things went differently than i expected this summer. A lot of things changed over the course of the summer. I do regret that i did not get to get together with some friends, but i guess that was somewhat expected. Maybe there wasn't enough effort on either side, i don't know. Well, school has started, and unlike most people, i am stoked. Track starts a week from today and i am excited to get back in the mix of things again. Last year was a blast and i hope its even better this year. Anyways, i hope everone's summer went well and i wish you luck for the upcoming semester in school!
On a sadder note, I got tragic news on sunday that Brooks, a kid i went to high school with passed in a car wreck. I wasn't the greatest of friends with him, but we shared conversations and partied together.. so it does hurt to hear about what happened.

| oh i see how it is.. no one wants to comment on my xanga!! its cool though.. summer has been fun.. workin a lot and chillin with my girlfriend so thats always fun. I just got a new car.. blazer, black on black leather interior '98 four door, i love it!! neways.. looking forward to going to new orleans with the lady friend at the end of the month.. although the summer has been great, i regret not seeing some of the people that i had planned to see more of this summer.. give me a call!! hope everyone's summer is going great! | | |
| well summer is going good so far. I am workin quite a bit saving money for the car i am hoping to get by the end of next week. My friend Kyle has a '99 silver blazer 4 door.. so hopefully we can work out a deal and i will finally have a car. Anyways, i havent had the time to chill with a lot of people this summer due to my overload work schedule that is hopefully coming to a slowing down point..
