| It's about that timeThough I'd love to talk about all the great things that've been happening lately, I'll have to cut this one short because Will and I are going to try and make it to OU by 9 a.m. We're making a trip to the library to do some much needed research. I'm so glad that things are finally winding down as far as school is concerned. Next semester is my last real semester of classes - and even then I'll only be taking something like 12 or 14 hours, so it should be fairly easy. I really hope to get an internship somewhere this summer. Baylor would be a really convenient place to do that...especially considering my family lives nearby and one of my professors up here knows the guy at the University Press that might hook me up with a job. An alternative to that would be finding an internship in California. Since we practically spend most of our week/ends off with my folks, she really wants me to spend time with hers. OR, we might bypass both of those and find some place out east to get internships. Either way, prospects are looking up. On top of that, Katie and I are doing really well, and I pray that our almost 8-month relationship will turn into something much greater, if God wills it. We've grown so much together. I'm pretty excited that we've placed membership at Edmond C.O.C. because I'd been searching for almost 3 years and needed to find a place to settle down (I realized this a long time ago but it just took awhile for me to set my foot down, so to speak). Well, that's about all I can think of for now. OH! I forgot to mention that I've had 2 big leadership experiences as of late. First, I led singing in International Studies Chapel on Thursday. That was pretty fun but I was really nervous being up in front of so many people (which is weird since I've had a lot of public speaking experience). The other was that I was honored to introduce Ryan Dobson, son of Dr. James Dobson, at the 40th Anniversary of Christian Works - a great adoption agency. We had a really fancy meal at the DALLAS ANATOLE and I think I did a pretty good job up on stage. Ok seriously, I'm leaving. Goodnight and God bless! -Stephen | | |
| Wow, it's been awhile since i've updated. Basically things are going smoothly. School starts for me in about 8.5 hours and i should be in bed. However, i felt the need to inform those who still check up on me from time to time as to how i'm doing. Katie and i are almost at 6 months. Though it's kinda hard to believe, every second of it has been amazing (she's pretty great for those of you who are wondering). It's also hard to believe what has happened to me over the past 2 years...so many memories have been made and so many things have been accomplished. Unfortunately my grades last semester suffered a bit....but after making a 4.0 for the summer...i'm ready to hit the books hard this year. God has also continued to bless my family with good health and as for me, well i'm still trucking. I hope everyone else is doing great! I'll do my best to get back on here sometime soon and fill you in on the other happenings here in Oklahoma. God Bless, Stephen | | |
| So I guess I'm an experienced traveler now. I've navigated my way through the subways of London, Paris, and Austria, and I've communicated with the natives despite our language barriers. I've also dealt with potential thieves who tried stealing things from my cochette and I've been crapped on by Parisian birds. Lets just say I know my way around Europe. Tomorrow night we take a train to Berlin where we'll stay for a night/day and then it's off to Frankfurt and the Rhine Valley where we'll take a boat tour and see lots of medieval castles. After that we'll take another train over to Prague and then come back to Vienna. It's about to get busy up in here (as if I'm not constantly busy as it is). Other than travel, things are going well with all of my friends and my gal. Can't wait for Texas again...but I'm really going to miss this place. Is it bad that I feel safer in Vienna than I do back home? I love the people and the culture and I'm definitely learning a lot. I could say so much more, but I'd better get on my way. Love you all! God Bless -Stephen | | |
| I could definitely live in London. Well, right now I am, but we're heading out tomorrow. Hello Vienna, Austria! Hope everyone is doing ok back in the states God Bless, -Stephen | | |
| She knows the truth, and she still loves me. I'm so blessed. Hope I get my passport tomorrow so I can go to Europe w/her. This is very likely my last post for awhile. Take care everyone. God Bless, -Stephen | | |
